The smell of home
At the beginning of the 90s I moved to Middle Hesse, because of love. In the middle of the 90s I got hold of Sunflowers for the first time, just before I got married. I lived in Mittelhessen for 25 years until we moved to the Ruhr area for various reasons and I had to leave my adopted country.
For me, Sunflowers is inseparable from the most wonderful time of my life and one of the best summer scents I can imagine.
Sure, it is quite cheap and also nothing exuberant special. But that's what makes it so great for me.
The beautiful freshness and the delicate flowery smell remind me of the numerous walks at night along the Lahn, when the coolness of the water eases the heat of the day a little.
Or to our hidden place on the banks of the Lahn, when we watched the kingfishers fishing and were protected from the scorching sun under trees.
Wandering through the woods and fields, with stars in their eyes and the light-heartedness of youth in their luggage. All that will come back to life when I put on my beloved Sunflowers. Its simplicity and the pleasant scent of flowers make Sunflowers a companion for the whole day. The woody, mossy base notes are easily perceptible and give me a pleasantly homely, sensual feeling without getting too excited.
I belong to those who like to spray a lot and often. Sunflowers tolerates this, although it would not actually be necessary, as I get something from it for a long time. The fine fragrance hovers around me for six to seven hours, even if I don't have anything to spray on.
My last bottle was quickly empty, so that I soon have to get a new one. Until then I'll settle for the offshoots!
