Don't be discouraged - try it!
I was instantly crazy about Molecule 02, which explains why I was so excited about Not a Perfume.
Consequently, I had high expectations and NaP did not disappoint me! I don't have much to add to Coony's description. The scent is citrusy at first, then noble-woody. I would omit the caramel note, as I don't smell it, but that could be due to skin chemistry. It is a feel-good scent, an everyday fragrance.
I don't believe it consists of just one fragrance molecule, because then it would be absolutely identical to Molecule 02, which it is not. I think the Ambroxan has been softened, made more mainstream. I really enjoy wearing it, but the "winner" of the Ambroxan fragrances is still Molecule 02. NaP = daytime fragrance, Molecule = noble, special evening fragrance.

Chypre-Musk
I am a fan of Chypre and Musk, and Cabaret wonderfully combines both fragrance directions. It comes on strong and incense-like, while the musk makes it softer and rounder, making the wearer feel confident and sexy.
A small drawback for me is the longevity. It disappears too quickly.

For me, it’s a chypre vanilla scent; I smell unsweetened dark vanilla in the base, and musk rounds out the fragrance and makes it sexy! It’s a must-try.

Noble...
La Perla is the fragrance that has been in my closet the longest. It is noble, ladylike, I think of Italian tough beauties like Monica Bellucci and when I wear the perfume, I feel elevated and strong and regularly receive compliments.
The top and heart notes are certainly off-putting for many - bitter and somewhat herbal - if the fragrance didn't develop, I would have never bought it. Even the base is not clearly identifiable on my skin. I can't pick out a single note, but the overall composition is incredibly noble, enveloping the wearer for a long time, unobtrusive yet present.
