Hard?

I was expecting a much more chypre, earthy-woody-leather smell.
Something very strong and hard.
Yes, there are those notes, but for me they are mixed with something sweet-fruity.
The perfume sounds smooth.
I wear it as an everyday perfume when I want a soft balance. A vintage scent, but I love that kind of stuff.

my mother studied fashion and design, even on "boulevards" she stands out. She doesn't wear fashion, she makes it. Bright red ( nature ) hair, 10.000 freckles, skinny as a dog. Since Cabochard came on the market she wore the scent, I grew up with it, she didn't use anything else. Every Christmas she only wanted that scent. I loved it on her, but it was nothing to me. That changed when I turned about 50. Since then I always have a bottle and take it occasionally in autumn and winter. Dreamlike durability and a unique chypre - leather note. Very sad that something like this has been degraded to a niche fragrance and is sometimes wasted in the drugstore. Googling over Madame Gre`s is worthwhile.
