Fine verbena
After a very charming citrusy first greeting from the spice kitchen, more green-woody ingredients join in. Tasted the fragrance is as indicated in the pyramid by creamy musk, which skillfully holds the tangy loners together.
Unlike, for example, the Verveine fragrance of L'Occitane, this one is not pungent and more balanced.
Sillage and durability are rather in the decent range, at least on the skin. Perfume for less militant perfume junkies than hang around here, you could also say.
Too bad that there is the bottle only in 100ml. For me, this would be an optimal 30ml-for-the-summer fragrance, bought in May, emptied in October at the latest, for manageable money. See Patricia de Nicolai.

Overall, however, a successful unisex composition for cooler summer days (are there still?) and warmer autumn days. Or even for travel, from official to private, on which hardly fits more in the suitcase, but at least a bottle must with, His & Hers...

Prickly pear sorbet for summer
This was an impulse buy on a very balmy summer evening in Otranto, Puglia. Just in the Salento.
Accordingly, the fragrance comes best on sultry summer evenings in the South to the advantage, as if he would need tropical moist warmth to be able to unfold.
The opening is fruity-sour, quickly joins the sweetness, just like in a sorbet. And that is, after all, the most refreshing, when it steams so beautifully. The sweetness is "only" sweet and fruity, so no caramel, which would make everything stick even more, if you sweat enough anyway!
Underlaid are the fruits with a little flowers and probably also musk, because the sorbet must also remain creamy.
For me, a summer and holiday fragrance for those days when I have my lemon arsenal and my Monoi-Jasmin plantations already through and I need (for once, is unhealthy!) Something sweeter. And with a light prickly pear sorbet like this, a woman's conscience is clear..... And much joy!

Alexis Carrington and shoulder pads reinterpreted
THE fragrance for those who weep for the bombastic shoulder pad chypres of the 80s, i.e. those with Knowing/Montana/Scherrer udgl. Nostalgia. Those masterpieces that entered the room long before their wearer and guaranteed enough space for their appearance! And that long before the unbearable Poisons and Angels.
Properly sprayed on the Beautiful Player guarantees a minimum distance around you even in CoVid times. In this respect, also THE fragrance for 2021 as well as for social phobics or Autrittsgewöhnte.
Of course, the question arises whether there were not already enough of these bombers and whether their time is not over. Well, in my opinion, the originals all suffer from reformulations, which in their anxiousness weaken and therefore unbalance the massiveness of the original composition.
Here, however, the world still works. Belle Joueuse isn't quite as massive as her great aunts and is therefore more balanced from the start. This also makes her more contemporary, for all the nostalgia in her pedigree. She does not reinvent the world, but delights all the more!

Vegetable Rose
Finally, once again a surprising rose perfume!
Ok, I know I've been snooping around here for a long time, hence this arrogance:)-.... But woman has just phases where she thinks to herself, "No, I've already smelled through everything, upscale fad etc".
And then this inconspicuous new fragrance comes along. After the first spray I thought "Meh, nice and not new". After a short pause though, I have to say that underneath the classic rose veil is a layer of vegetables that surprised me, slightly celery carrot soupy dicey. Sounds bad, but it is not, because very harmoniously inserted and just surprising. In this respect, also suitable for everyday use from early to late.
For bored and blasé fans of classic rose chypres - by that I mean those who like me no oudh - worth a test. For me, the portable version of the Rose Chyprée by Tauer.
So testing and discovering fun!

Bombay Talkies and Monsoon Wedding
Hardly sprayed I have an incredible nostalgia flashback moment back to my India travels: The fragrance rightly bears its name, especially as far as the "sacré" is concerned, because this is how I remember temples (and churches) on the subcontinent.
No obvious sandalwood flatterer, but this mixture of soft woods, flowers and fruit as offerings. Sure, sometimes you get dieseled in by the expected Nag Champa incense stick Hippie Wahnsinn. More often than not, however, it is this bewitching mixture of exotic all sorts that does not exist in this form in the West.
I do not have the impression that the ingredients of Sandalwood Sacré are of the highest quality, but this fits all the better to the colourfulness of the Indian places of worship. I snoop at any rate enraptured at my wrist and enjoy the Bollywood short vacation!
