Glowing in the Dark
There's controversy among the mediums if real ectoplasm glows in the dark or not. But the smell of Lush Ectoplasm is definitely glowing so brightly that it pushes away all darkness whenever I wear it. It's an uplifting zesty uncomplicated citrus fragrance, very easy to wear and suitable for all seasons. It's pure vitamin C for the nose, so juicy, sharp and fresh. It's a very happy and innocent aroma so despite the little bit scary name I wouldn't wear this with a Halloween horror costume, however this perfume is a very fitting moodlifter for the darkest period of autumn. The solid perfume was the only version ever available of this fragrance in my country so unfortunately I can't compare it to "Ectoplasm (Perfume) | Lush / Cosmetics To Go" or "Ectoplasm (Body Spray) | Lush / Cosmetics To Go" . The sillage is quite soft and innofensive and the longevity is about 7 hours on my skin.

Versatile Sweet But Refreshing Orange
The idea of Terres Dorées Origine series, created by Louis Cardelli, was to make three EDTs inspired by the origins of modern perfume: eau de colognes. Origines perfumes are a fresh and a bit more complex interpretation of the traditional cologne smells. For me Orange d'Italie was pure love at first sniff. I absolutely adore the smell of sweet oranges and I have been searching for such soliflore with great quality for very long time, and this is it! Gorgeous from start to finish, this is my favourite Terres Dorées perfume and has become one of my top favourite fragrances of all time too.

I love basil so it was such a pleasant surprise that this cologne opens with a very fresh burst of green basil and zesty mandarin. The opening reminds me a lot of "Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic | Guerlain" which is another love of mine. The drydown is pure sweet orange with a hint of amber in the background. Nothing too complex but so pleasant and comforting, radiating wonderful positive vibes. I'm craving to wear this anytime when I need something uplifting. I can't imagine that this fragrance would offend anyone. It's a great choice for both warm and cold seasons. During the hot days it's very refreshing. But due to the sweet side of the orange note it's also a perfect Christmas time fragrance, and very suitable for Holiday time layering, for example the combination of Orange d'Italie + "Vanille | Terres Dorees" + "Pumpkin Pie | Demeter Fragrance Library / The Library Of Fragrance" creates a delightful gourmand spiced orange vanilla aroma.

Traditional French Vanilla
Terres Dorées Vanille is a simple typical French vanilla with great performance for an EDT. It's very gourmand with caramel base notes but I can also detect some fruitiness even though any fruity notes aren't listed. It's perfect to wear on its own on those moments when you're craving something delicious but inoffensive and uncomplicated. But it's also a fantastic layering fragrance. One of my favourite layering combinations is Vanille and "Origine - Orange d'Italie | Terres Dorees", this mix creates a perfect Christmas time fragrance.

Warm Spicy Resinous Incense
Another Terres Dorées fragrance that is so true to its name! My husband is South Asian, and immediately when he smelled this fragrance, he said "this smells like home". It's a gorgeous incense-y spice bomb and feels nostalgic to me too because it reminds me of the general atmosphere of those incense boutiques from my childhood that we called "hippie shops" here in Finland. When I was a child, I found those shops very intriguing and mythical, and I would describe Richesse du Népal with those same adjectives too. The opening is full of hot chili and nose tickling pepper with a smoky nag champa kind of vibe and soft cinnamon in the background. During the drydown it becomes cozier and more resinous, I can definitely smell a meditative mix of benzoin, opoponax, patchouli and vanilla which sticks on the skin for hours. My nose doesn't pick any of the heart note flowers, probably just a little bit rose in the background, but other than that this is purely resinous-spicy perfume on me. The fragrance is very long-lasting but not too strong - sometimes I personally find the perfumes of this genre to be too overwhelming to wear casually, but with Richesse du Népal I don't have that problem. It's definitely noticeable but not overpowering. I think that people who love for example "Opium (1977) (Eau de Parfum) | Yves Saint Laurent", but would like to have something a little bit easier to wear and wouldn't like to fill a whole room with their fragrance, would most likely fall in love with Richesse du Népal.

Classic Meditative Vetiver
Terres Dorées Vétiver is a splendid interpretation of the classic vetiver smell. It opens with fresh citrus notes that are quite soon taken over by a clear warm meditative vetiver note which is very recognizable and reminds me of pure vetiver essential oil. There's also a beautiful, somewhat metallic tree moss note in the background, which gives the fragrance a little bit sharper edge. When I'm smelling this perfume I'm transported into a green lush silent forest, a perfect place to focus and calm down. Another image that I get in my head is a fine polite gentleman in a brown casual suit sipping espresso, alone in a cosy cafe full of candles on a rainy autumn evening.
