the small bottle broke open while cleaning and a sweet, amber-heavy, rich scent wafted out, quite unexpectedly. A floral note also came through. I suspect the fragrance is not entirely original anymore, as the little bottle is from the late 1920s, but it carried the hint of an old, noble time gone by. Very unusual for today's use, but that makes it all the more beautiful. Royalin - truly noble.

I haven't written any reviews yet, as I don't consider myself an expert, but I like Schwarzlose. I appreciate both the historical aspects of the brand and the new fragrances. The perfume house is dedicated to "olfactory" aesthetics - that's what I've read somewhere. I like this scent! It allows me to breathe in - it conveys clarity and freshness. Fougere is a very classic fragrance family, and thus the scent will remind one of many things. Fragrances like Sauvage or Aventus do not belong to the associations I have; rather, it evokes a certain class or classicism, perhaps even restraint. It may be that this restraint or sophistication does not appeal to everyone. I like it. And it is a logical addition to the brand's portfolio.
