Lovelybrutal

Tomato through and through, but youthfully fresh. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I smelled this fragrance, but no other has stayed in my memory like it. My mother wore it in the 90s and today, about 25 years later, I still think back to this very special fragrance and what I associate with it. I have not been able to find anything as green-fresh and at the same time sexy-fruity.

I have loved violet scents since I was a teenager. I bought Lush's Daddy O shampoo only because of its scent (and its dark purple colour). For a long time I searched for a fragrance with a similar violet note. I wouldn't say AI in love smells like the shampoo, but it satisfies my craving for a violet scent. Fresh, cool, a little metallic and above all, not something you've smelled 100 times before in similar variations.

The latex note combined with raspberries and strawberries made me buy the fragrance. I expected a synthetic strawberry milkshake and got a mixture of plasticine and plastic vapours. Unfortunately, I can hardly detect any floral or fruity notes and it’s not a fragrance I feel comfortable with. But much more repulsive. Although I have the urge to smell my wrist again and again in the hope that the uneasy feeling will fade or change with the fragrance, instead the fragrance remains just the way it was.
