Can something be too sweet?
Short answer. Yes!
On some days I’m a fan of youthful bubblegum scents and expected this to be a safe bet and possibly a new favorite scent.
But this is unfortunately the sweetest und most synthetic interpretation of bubblegum mixed with even more synthetic strawberry. It’s "American Cream (Perfume) | Lush / Cosmetics To Go" on steroids with something pungent which I can’t put my finger on. Maybe is it burned sugar?

Hot summers
I remember when this got released in 2003. I was just a kid and my mom, who always had a love for green scents, got this. It is fresh, perfectly unisex and I really like it, but it’s not what I would call a crowd pleaser. Cypress and Juniper are prominent and somewhat scratchy…in a good way that is giving the scent an edge that makes it special to me.
On a hot summers day in the city when I’m longing for the feeling of being in the Mediterranean countryside and walking through forest and fields, feeling a little breeze from the not so far sea, this is what I’m reaching out for.

Sicily Days
It’s been a couple of years since I visited Sicily for the first time. One of our stops was right in the center of Syracuse. As we walked through the alleys, seeing people hanging out their freshly washed pantys, the whole neighborhood smelled of a really nice laundry detergent. Rosy, bubblegummy, synthetic and clean. And this is what I get in the first 1-3h of this scent. It’s uplifting, youthful and reminds me of beautiful days.
After a few hours of wearing I got the frankincense note which is only recognizable when I directly sniff my wrist.
Overall a more complex scent than expected and surprisingly a ‘clean scent’ I enjoy. But after all a completely ridiculous price.

Summertime sadness
Honestly, it wasn't love at first sight. I bought the fragrance spontaneously in Santa Monica because I wanted a souvenir. During my trip I wore it a few times, but we didn't get really warm. Now, after a few months, his magic unfolds. Steamed Rainbow is exactly what the name says. Light as spray mist, complex, iridescent and refreshing with a touch of nostalgia. It reminds me of summer afternoons and orange popsicles when I was a kid. Laying in the grass, closing my eyes and let the sunbeams of the late summer warm my face.
Definitely a staple in my fragrance wardrobe.

Behind the mask
Blueish-green-grey and mysterious. I remember an afternoon at my grandmother's and Fantomas was on TV. Whenever he was on the screen, I hid behind my hands and when I did risk a look, I was fascinated and at the same time repulsed by the face.
It's similar with this fragrance. Extremely synthetic, plastic-like but still fascinating.
But nothing you really want to wear, except as a disguise.
