smoky, spicy, woody but not sweet in the slightest
I wanna start this off by saying that I am trying not to let my disappointment in how it was marketed and how it actually smells interfere with my impression of this. I really am trying to review this for what it is and not what I thought it would be. But wow was the marketing crazy deceptive. I am really happy I didn't blind buy a whole bottle and I got the mini version. This smells nothing like an ice cream cone, I don't even consider this to be a gourmand lol.
I found this to be a very unique vanilla, with it being a spicier and smokier take on vanilla instead of the typical dessert vanilla. Its unisex, slightly leaning on the more masculine side of unisex in my opinion. The spice is forward and very strong, and I really only pick up on the vanilla on the dry down. Even then though its still very sharp and overwhelming and it completely overpowers the vanilla note. While I do love a long lasting scent, this is almost too strong for me. Which is kinda crazy considering I have Crumb Couture by Snif as well and that has almost no longevity on me.
If you are looking for a gourmand vanilla, look elsewhere. If you want a powerful and masculine take on vanilla that lasts very long, definitely try this.
strawberry chapstick
I was hoping this would be a bit more complex, or smell a bit more fresh, but its incredibly synthetic and one note. However, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. While this was disappointing at first due to my expectations, I've come to like how unapologetically nostalgic and girly this is. When they made this they really just liquefied your childhood strawberry lipsmackers and poured it into a spray bottle. I have layered this with Yara by Lattafa to make the girliest combo ever.
unexpectedly tropical
Like many people here, I was hoping it would smell like strawberry milk. Also this does need time to macerate (I said this in my review of Eclaire as well) so if you do not like it when you first get it, don't worry and give it time.
Upon first spray it does smell powdery, but that fades pretty quickly. It settles into a super fruity and citrusy mix of oranges and flowers. It does smell slightly coconutty to me as well. Its certainly not mature nor classic, but its cute! The longevity and sillage were both comfortably moderate.
Also unpopular opinion, but I love the bottle lol. Its so in your face girly, it reminds me of what a perfume bottle would look like in the bratz world if that makes sense.
blueberry croissant
I want to start off by saying I adore this scent. Upon first spray it smells exactly like blueberry jam. On the dry down it smells more buttery like a freshly baked croissant. Literally like you walked into a bakery. However, this does not last long at all. The sillage is a bit more intimate and I don't mind that, but it really has no longevity. This is especially disappointing considering how small the bottle is. I unfortunately don't find myself reaching for it often due to this.
If you are someone who gets easily overwhelmed by strong gourmands though, but still wants to try a gourmand anyway, then this is perfect for you. Its more on the bright and fruity side and not too cloyingly sweet.
compliment getter
I was shocked to see the review for this are so polarizing. Every time I wear this I get complimented on it lol. I will say this fragrance gets better over time (which was also my experience with Yara). Upon first spray it did smell a bit cheap, lots of alcohol in the scent. After letting this sit though it began to smell stronger and richer.
This is as gourmand as it gets and I consider this to be a "beastmode" fragrance. The sillage and the longevity go crazy with this. This is a must for gourmand lover! To me it smells like milk and honey poured on a freshly baked cake.
I cannot speak to it smelling like bianco latte, however I did buy this because of how much I've wanted to try bianco latte but haven't cause $$$
