Proudly priced mainstreamer with exclusivity.
On my professional away trip in Frankfurt I visited the perfumery Albrecht in the Zeil. A perfumery that is actually almost exclusively composed of exclusive fragrances. All in the high price segment. I was looking for something new for the buzzer. Roja Elyssium was too heavy for me, Virgin Island Water too coconut heavy and the Interlude Man was simply no summer scent for me.

I went to the Marlys' shelf a little sad. Actually, I've tested everything but Percival. A sprayer on the hand. Hmm, somehow smelling quite good, but reminds me of the Sanifair furnishings one floor above. I went outside and was a little disappointed. When I sat in the extra sheet afterwards, a more pleasant cloud came into my nose with each wind draft, which I referred only after some time on my hand. Percivals dry down is so beautifully rounded. - Many compare him to Fierce and Bleu de Chanel - they're not wrong about that either - but for me it's the golden mean of the two with an absolutely smelling potential. So I'm back and I had to take it with me. Percival wouldn't let go of me because the sillage on my hand alone is stronger than what I ever smelled of Bleu de Chanel.

For me a mainstreamer that maybe doesn't fit to the rest of the Marlys, but if there was another brand on it less people would have looked at it as critically as here.

An absolutely successful fragrance that is wonderfully rounded off and makes your surroundings smile. As with all Marlys, durability is enormous and totally pleasant for me. A great fragrance for every day, even if it's expensive.

The talented horse
It was time again. Apart from Aventus and Original Santal I felt like a polarizing fragrance with charm. In advance: Layton exclusif was a pure blind purchase.

What you read about Layton I either interpret completely wrong or my nose plays tricks on me. I cannot go into the individual scents now, but it is described as a relatively sweet scent - even if the Exclusif Oud is included. Nice dating scent that smells special. And yes: it all smells special, but conspicuously sweet?
When I hold Le Male, or Versace Eros to my nose, we have sweet scents to make his first sexual experience as an adolescent young man, but Layton exclusif is a silky soft masculine bomb. It has a light oriental touch with increasing male power. The shelf life is brutal, but that's what marly's known for. For me an absolutely successful blind purchase. Maybe not a heavy compliment getter, but nobody doesn't like him. At least as far as the women are concerned

The HSV among fragrances.
To compare that in a somewhat proletarian way. For me, Aventus is the HSV of the perfume world. While the HSV could still be found regularly in the upper third of the table a few years ago, they now play in league 2 for 5th place - Unfortunately

We don't need to talk about the top note of Aventus. 3-5 sprayers and it hails compliments in the first 60 minutes. - If anything. When I bought my first 75ml bottle of Aventus in 2014, I put something on at 7 in the morning and at 18 in the evening ddr Dönermann asked me what I would wear there.

Now - 5 years later - I have to spray at least every 2 hours. And that's the sad thing. You've become so accustomed to receiving compliments from Aventus that you stay hungry. Unfortunately, from year to year the shelf life and the Sillage gets worse. For me still one of my favourite fragrances, which unfortunately disappoints me more and more. Whether I cream my neck with Vaseline after a shower and then apply Aventus, or whether it's clothes. It is unfortunately only perceptible at the smallest distance.

Even if it is still a top fragrance.
