Unexpected Encounter
I got to know Brut by Faberge when I was 20, Tom brought a bottle from France for Pierre's birthday. Tom and Pierre, so everyone who knows me, of course, knew about my love for perfume and Tom immediately told me that Faberge is only available in France, Luxembourg, and Belgium.
At that time, Pierre had already applied the scent and within minutes, Pierre, Tom, and I were enveloped in a clear, powdery fragrance that automatically draws attention with its very nice soft spiciness.
Back then, I only knew Douglas, Rossmann, and TK Maxx, but not Amazon.
I stalked the perfumeries online and in person for Faberge and also inquired whether it would be possible to include Faberge in their stock.
"Unfortunately not planned" were the devastating responses.
Six years passed before I finally had the opportunity to get Faberge Brut, and that was in Luxembourg.
I was lucky to be involved in the stage setup at Rock a Field.
Of course, I was thrilled when Steven and Sandra asked me if I wanted to join.
Great music, a new country, a new city, new people, new experiences, etc., and the crowning moment was when my brain did the only right thing at that moment.
Faberge immediately appeared to me!!!
"Of course I'll come along, but we have to stop at a perfumery first"
I bought 10 100 ml bottles right away, just to be safe ;)
This scent will never be missing from my collection.

Yes, there is really power in it
Very fresh, pleasant leather scent that harmonizes incredibly well with the iris. After 6 hours, you have a very beautiful iris scent on your skin that smells like freshly moisturized skin, with a lovely hint of fresh leather.
I really like iris scents, and this is a truly very soft and noble iris that even has a creamy quality; you don't find something like this every day.

I wish for this as an Eau de Parfum
The word depth immediately comes to mind for this fragrance.
Ebony was completely new territory for me, and I couldn't imagine at all what ebony smells like.
I make a few blind purchases each year; I naturally look at the composition here on Parfumo and decide based on the listed components whether it's worth a blind buy, of course, the design of the bottle is also important :-)
The scent convinced me from the very first moment, and after testing it three times, I felt a slight urge to consider this fragrance as my signature scent, but it couldn't prevail.
If there were an Eau de Parfum, I would be faced with the decision to stick with a signature scent and change it, or to expand my signature scent collection to three.
The longevity is really impressive for an Eau de Toilette; for me, it lasted 10 hours, and on clothing, it was over 24 hours.
It doesn't have a far-reaching sillage, which I find appropriate for this fragrance.
The scent has a piece of intimacy, where the sillage doesn't need to be so pronounced; it is designed so that the person sitting across from you perceives it clearly but in a well-measured way.
A very successful blind purchase.

Sweet Chocolate Ice Cream with Lots of Sauce
I must confess that my classification for spring, autumn, and winter deviates from my testing month; I wore the fragrance in August at 34 degrees Celsius. This is because I simply believe that if you feel like it, you can and should wear any fragrance, even if they are heavy hitters.
Wearing Opium Pour Homme Eau de Parfum in summer is also a bold, but in my opinion, sensible choice.
Calvin Klein has, in my opinion, created his best perfume here. All the listed oils form a whole; I find that you cannot distinguish a top, heart, or base note. Personally, I feel that the perfume was crafted in such a way that the top, heart, and base notes are perceived as a whole. You can smell all the notes throughout the entire duration, and sometimes quite distinctly.
Longevity on the skin: 7-9 hours, 24-36 hours on textiles
Sillage: 1-4 hours 7/10, 4-9 hours 5/10 points

That's Straight
James Morrison's "I Won't Let You Go" plays in the background, the first breath of Magic Man aims to highlight a certain spiciness and makes itself known accordingly, full of impatience the marigold joins in its fullest opulence and lets the cyclamen and cocoa wood appear only vaguely and only with a gentle breeze, the impatience of the last components wanting to blend in is also magical here.
A hint of amber, a hint of patchouli, and a hint of teak and spruce wood.
Longevity: 5-6.5 hours on the skin, 6-12 hours on textiles
Sillage: 1-3 hours 7/10 points, 3-6.5 hours 3.5/10 points
