Green, spicy pickles and way more
The opening smelled sort of similar to me. Seaweed, quite Ellena-ish in style, I would say. Somewhere in between I got also some (oak)moss and things I'd associate with Grev. The further scent goes the funkier and more weird it gets. I get those famous pickles - yes! I am getting also something a'la playdough or silly putty.
I find Mare as an intriguing and difficult to wear. Challenging to an average perfume user. I wish Josh brought this one to life....

Jeke - the same, yet very different
New (2022) version: Generally from what I've heard previous version had very smoky component in it - which is cade. Funny enough, new version wins this battle, for me of course. I agree it tends to be leaning herbaceous, immortelle like, but I freakin' love it!

After spending more than a year with Jeke 2022:

The opening is great, strong, unlit tobacco mixed with a little bit of smokiness here and there. This lasts up to 4-5 hours on my skin. Changes into a quite strong curry/fenugreek smell and this tends to be dominating note. What I also detect is both unsmoked tobacco and tobacco smoke, some tanins (like the fragrance was aged in an oak barrel). This lasts up to 3-5 hours. Eventually and finally we are close to the drydown, which is leaning towards being sweet, but not overly sweet.

Longevity is huge, on my skin up to 15-16 hours and sometimes even more than that. It's a very potent scent so 1-2 sprays on my neck is more than enough for me.

Of course Jeke 2022 is significantly different from previous Jeke versions (you can tell that even without sniffing and looking at the colour of the juice only), but I like it more than previous one(s).

Childhood memories of mine
Hay, definitely a lot of dry hay, supported by a hint of colling mint. There is also a dry tobacco somewhere in between and a lot of herbs I can’t name or definitely per se. There is totally no sweetness in there, but the amount of flowers add a lot of greenness to the composition.

My favourite from the brand, so far.

A cherry pipe tobacco
A very authentic cherry pipe tobacco, I think the most authentic in that genre I’ve ever smelled. Supported by a delicate musk and I’ve also detected some cocoa in the background. Slightly gourmand, but definitely with some farm climates. Doesn’t change much on my skin, but that’s not a bad thing at all.

Impression: a vision of farm workers resting, sipping their americanas/espressos and smoking cherry flavoured pipe tobacco.

Longevity is above 9 hours, sillage is above moderate.

A good entry level fragrance to the Pineward lineup
Apple Tabac is one of the very few scents from Nick Nilsson, the author and creator of Pineward, which I would put in the middle between daring compositions of his and a safe blind buy.

It is a little daring because it’s got booze in it. If you like boozy scents or would like to get into boozy scents this is where you can easily start. On the other hand it’s got tobacco - a note not everyone likes and is not a total crowd pleaser, however tobacco here is rather mild and tamed.

It is a safe blind buy because it’s got very realistic, nice smelling soft apple. It’s almost like an apple potpourri or fall scented candle. It has some similarities with Slumberhouse Mond (apple) but in general Apple Tabac and Mond are totally different perfumes.

I recommend Apple Tabac as the one to start with when you want to explore Pineward.
