I recently received it as a gift.

Essentially, it's a pleasant drugstore scent, not necessarily inexpensive considering the amount of the bottle, calculated to 100ml.

In my opinion, suitable for all seasons, a fresh scent with a watery-citrusy note, which is not meant negatively.

Nice little bottle that you can easily slip into your jacket pocket if you want to reapply during the day ... which unfortunately you have to, as longevity and sillage are at best mediocre. At the beginning, shortly after application, the scent is very dominant, but unfortunately fades quickly and then becomes very linear and close to the skin. On clothing, it lasts slightly better.

Not a highlight, but okay, I have also repurchased it once.

I must admit, to my shame, that I enjoy testing one or another fragrance from Beckham, as a daily scent for work and in my free time.

In general, I can say: light and shadow.
I would assign "Instinct" to the brighter side :-) A citrusy scent, with a decent dose of vetiver; longevity and sillage are absolutely fine for this price range.

I'm still not quite sure which season the fragrance is best suited for. You can wear it in summer, but over time it becomes a bit "heavy" and dry, so I tend to lean towards late summer and autumn.
I admit, categorizing it is difficult for me. "Fresh" is, for example, a scent note that I wouldn't necessarily associate with "Instinct" right away; there are others that fit that description better.

What I really like is that it feels more premium than the actual price would suggest, as it lacks the typical Beckham "shower gel notes." Feedback from my immediate surroundings was also that "Instinct" doesn't come across as intrusive, as long as you don't slather it on by the liter.

Just a quick note on the bottle: Well, it's just a bottle, as unspectacular as it could be.

What a shame, such a shame. I find the scent very pleasant. It is fresh, great for summer, without drifting into the realm of generic shower gel.

In the very linear scent progression, you perceive a fruity, slightly citrus note, with a very pleasant hint of orange ... as if someone is peeling one in the summer while a light breeze carries the scent. I really like it ...

Only, unfortunately, the sillage and longevity are a complete disappointment ... even for this price range.
Okay, no one expects the scent to last all day in this segment, but I can only detect it for 2 hours on clothing, and even less on skin. Even La Rive does better than this ...

Sillage is also rather subdued, which, to be fair, fits the scent note.
It also has nothing to do with subjective adaptation of perception. I consciously avoided scents of the same kind for 2 weeks to avoid a certain "olfactory blindness."
Makes no difference, even after 14 days of "Classic" abstinence, it doesn't get better.

So, if you treat yourself to this scent, be aware that it quickly fades. It's best to take the (solid) bottle to the office so you can reapply if necessary.

I probably won't purchase it a second time ... Does anyone know an affordable alternative that performs better? I would appreciate any tips ...

Recently, when I was at Rossmann, I stumbled upon this fragrance.
I had little luck with scents from the "low budget" brand "La Rive," so I decided to give this fragrance a chance.
I was also looking for a scent for the summer.

It is a relatively unobtrusive fragrance, with a distinctly citrus-fruity note, which unfortunately comes across as rather weak in terms of longevity and sillage.
Regular reapplication throughout the day is necessary if you want to enjoy it for longer.

However, one must also put their own expectations in relation to the price, and the latter seems quite reasonable to me.

It is supposed to be a dupe of Aventus, as I have read. I must honestly say, you need a lot, very much imagination for that; the smoky note is almost completely missing, and otherwise, it just expresses the typical pineapple vibe, somehow a bit "thin and watery."

A pleasantly gentle flanker for everyday summer wear, nothing more and nothing less.
The bottle is discreet and does not come across as too cheap.

I actually quite like the original, at least for the darker months, but often I just don't want to shell out the outrageous usual price for it.

So I set out in search of a dupe ... and "La Rive" somehow comes to mind ;-)

Let's just say, it doesn't smell bad, it's also quite long-lasting, but over time it becomes somewhat musty and headache-inducing.
I also had the feeling that there might be quality fluctuations between the individual batches, not every bottle smelled the same. But that could also be somewhat subjective.

Anyway, it is definitely wearable, but my search is not over yet ...
I will get another bottle and test it again.
