A Rose of Contrasts: The New “Rose” Perfume From Headspace

With the woody, aromatic-floral unisex perfume "Rose", the French perfume house Headspace presents a modern, unconventional interpretation of the queen of flowers.

It's an unusual component, but the ideal one to shake up the classicism of the rose and push it to its limits. What emerges is the image of a bouquet of roses whose grace lies in the dramatic explosion of its petals. A fragrance of imperative hope, "Rose" captures our most contradictory facets - beauty and violence, vice and virtue - and forcibly brings them together to create something unique, singular, ultimately human?

Headspace

At the heart of the fragrance is the rose as a symbol of love, tenderness and purity, captured in a floral triad of rose essence, absolute and the sustainable LMR Ultimate Extract™, which is obtained from recycled rose petals. There is also a contrasting gunpowder chord with cool, metallic and smoky nuances that break through the classic rose fragrance 

The opening reveals green, aromatic accents: Basil, mint and blackcurrant buds meet the cool, sharp note of gunpowder. At the heart, rose takes center stage, accompanied by rose geranium and tarragon, which provide a herbal-floral depth. Finally, base notes of incense, vetiver and benzoin provide warmth, structure and a slightly sweet, balsamic finish.

The fragrance was created by French perfumer Dominique Ropion.

"Rose" is available in bottle sizes of 30 and 100 ml.
