An Interplay of Iris and Plum: The New Eau de Parfum "Plum de Velours" From Superfumista

Superfumista launches "Plum de Velours", a sensual unisex fragrance that blends the powdery elegance of iris with the fruity warmth of dried plum.

Plum de Velours is an olfactory caress with two facets, like velvet whose grain changes with the touch - sometimes playful and fruity, then again warm, soft and enveloping. The richness of a velvety, gourmand plum slowly fades into the floral elegance and creamy texture of iris - like candied plums dipped in precious iris butter.

"Plum de Velours" is intended to embody the delicate and refined elegance of subdued luxury. A velvety, fruity plum accord, enveloped by floral iris notes, forms the heart of the creation - a fragrance journey that begins with fruity freshness and develops into a warm, soft combination.

The fragrance opens with a citrusy-tart and delicately spicy blend of bergamot, cardamom and petitgrain, which provides an invigorating opening with a green undertone. At its heart, the scent unveils the gentle sweetness of dried plum, balanced by powdery iris and the delicate, honeyed facets of mimosa. The base note gives the fragrance depth and structure: Atlas cedar and sandalwood provide a warm, creamy woodiness, while labdanum with its balsamic warmth and tobacco with caramelized nuances round off the finish.

The creation comes from Benjamin Sachs, the founder of the French label Superfumista.

From April 28, the new fragrance will be available in a 30 ml bottle size.
