An Ode to Thyme: The New Perfume "Thymus" From Olfactive Pharmacy

With "Thymus", Olfactive Pharmacy unveils a new unisex fragrance that combines the aromatic essence of thyme with fresh, spicy and woody notes.

Thymus by Olfactive Pharmacy combines expressive thyme with caressing notes of yuzu, spices and lush amber. A subtle hint of neroli provides freshness and positivity, so that this fragrance can be an exceptional, balancing and comforting companion all year round.

The composition opens with an invigorating top note of white pepper, yuzu, bergamot, juniper berries and allspice. At the heart, the aromatic character of thyme combines with the delicate floral aromas of jasmine and neroli. In the finish, woody accords merge with labdanum and white musk to create a warm, balsamic accord. Accents of vetiver, pine and tree moss provide an earthy, spicy depth and round off the fragrance.

Created by perfumer Aistis Mickevičius, "Thymus" is an ode to thyme. The aromatic plant was already used in a variety of applications in ancient civilizations, for example in ancient incense mixtures in the Greek and Egyptian empires. The Romans also revered thyme as a symbol of bravery and strength. Roman warriors are even said to have bathed in thyme water to strengthen themselves for upcoming battles.

Olfactive Pharmacy

Olfactive Pharmacy was founded in Cologne in 2020 by pharmacists Oliver and Holger Dubben. Inspired by the world of plants and their healing properties, the label creates fragrances that capture the essence of these natural aromas and interpret them in a new way.

In its founding year, Olfactive Pharmacy launched its first three fragrances, which combine the traditional knowledge of herbal medicine with modern perfumery.

The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
