Tekinoktay: The fragrance debut of the Copenhagen label

With the three unisex fragrances "Ruby", "If 6 Was 9" and "Fanny", the Danish label Tekinoktay is entering the perfume market for the first time.

As a young, independent fragrance label from Copenhagen, Tekinoktay positions itself between art and perfume. The brand was founded by the visual artist Evren Tekinoktay together with the actor André Babikian. Evren Tekinoktay describes her label as a love story and a "celebration of life" - an exploration of what was, what is and what is yet to come.

The aim is to create "unique, memory-evoking fragrances", i.e. compositions that are grounding, transportive and  long-lasting. Instead of focusing on immediate attention, the fragrances should develop close to the skin and unfold their effect over time. Inspired by emotion, intimacy and everyday poetry, each creation is a personal fragrance narrative. Three Eaux de Parfum form the prelude: "Ruby", "If 6 Was 9" and "Fanny", each of which takes up different facets of this signature.

Ruby - Between freshness and closeness to the skin

Ruby is a bold fragrance where the sharp clarity of cold-pressed lemon meets the rich complexity of tobacco and musk. It balances vibrant brightness with magnetic radiance and stays close to the skin with its warm and seductive presence.

Tekinoktay

"Ruby" opens with the freshness of Italian lemon peel, accompanied by a hint of black pepper. Notes of ambrette and powdery nuances unfold in the center, lending the composition a gentle, slightly creamy warmth. This impression is reinforced in the base note: ambrette is supported by balsamic styrax, dry tobacco and the woodiness of Virginia cedar, creating a soft, warm finish.

If 6 Was 9 - The essence of understated elegance

This perfume combines the spice of cardamom with the cool note of bergamot and leads into a rich heart note of leather, underpinned by myrrh and patchouli. A fragrance that fascinates, soothes and lingers with confidence.

Tekinoktay

At the beginning of "If 6 Was 9", the fresh essence of bergamot unfolds, accompanied by the spicy warmth of cardamom. The strawflower lends a dry, aromatic nuance to the opening. In the heart note, soft leather and fruity-sweet plum meet and combine to create a darker, sensual accord. The base of ambergris, myrrh and patchouli lends the composition depth and warmth and ends with a balsamic, earthy finish.

Fanny - Citrus freshness meets green depth

Fanny, a sophisticated balance of brightness and dimension, this fragrance begins with the sharp clarity of cold-pressed lemon, sage and lavender and develops into the complex, earthy richness of tobacco leaf and patchouli.

Tekinoktay

"Fanny" opens with a fresh citrus accord of bergamot and Mediterranean lemon, accentuated by pink pepper. This is followed by a tart, aromatic heart of galbanum, lavender and sage, which is deepened by the spicy, balsamic aroma of opopanax. Finally, notes of patchouli, tobacco and ash provide a striking, smoky-earthy finish.

The three Eaux de Parfum are available in 50 ml flacon sizes.
