Czar
The concept: between the familiar and the new
For the development of "Trend", the Kuwaiti label Czar collaborated with the French perfumer Antoine Cotton. Cotton's concept for the fragrance arose from the desire to create something that feels familiar on the one hand, but also sets innovative accents on the other: a composition that draws on familiar structures and yet conveys the allure of the new.
To create the fragrance, he worked with a deliberately reduced formula: Each raw material was to fulfill a clearly defined task. He also dispensed with superfluous layers. Instead, he opted for materials that directly express the basic idea of the fragrance.
The result is a composition with clear contrasts: a fresh, lively opening, a warm, soft base - and iris in between. With its powdery, slightly earthy facet, it forms the transition between the light and warm elements of the fragrance.
The composition: Modern freshness meets warm depth
"Trend" starts with a citrusy, fruity accord of mandarin, aldehydes and apple, while rhubarb provides a green, tart freshness. At the heart, orris root takes center stage, accompanied by sweet orange blossom and the aromatic notes of rosemary and thyme. Patchouli and cedarwood form the base, complemented by the creamy sweetness of vanilla and tonka bean.

About the perfumer: Antoine Cotton
Antoine Cotton belongs to a younger generation of French perfumers. Growing up in the south of France, he was surrounded by regional raw materials such as aromatic herbs, citrus fruits and iris from an early age, which remain constants in his work to this day. He trained at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, where he acquired the technical foundations of modern fragrance development.
His preferred materials include iris, incense, citrus notes and herbs from Provence - raw materials that, for him, bridge the gap between freshness, warmth and aromatic nuances. His sources of inspiration range from the landscapes of his homeland and classic perfumery traditions to modern design influences and culinary impressions.
For Cotton, perfumery essentially stands for connection: between raw materials, between fragrance phases, between wearer and memory.
The premiere of "Trend" will take place from November 25 to December 6, 2025 at the Teeb AlHazm Perfume Expo in Qatar. The fragrance comes in a 110 ml bottle.
