Fruity, Spicy and Woody: The New Unisex Fragrance Forbidden Rouge by Mystikum

Fruity, Spicy and Woody: The New Unisex Fragrance "Forbidden Rouge" by Mystikum

With "Forbidden Rouge", the young niche label Mystikum is launching a limited-edition extrait de parfum that combines fruity sweetness, spicy depth and a creamy, woody base.

The fragrance itself is an elegant composition of red fruits, spicy facets and warm woods, multi-layered, modern and with a fine, almost melancholic depth. Forbidden Rouge stands for the tension between restraint and expression, between beauty and rupture;

The composition of "Forbidden Rouge" plays with contrasts: at the beginning, sparkling bergamot, ginger, clary sage and saffron meet the fruity depth of blackcurrant and the spicy facets of star anise. An interplay of floral and fruity accords then unfolds in the heart: Freesia, lavender, raspberry and cherry are enveloped by soft caramel, while rosemary contributes a fresh, green nuance. The base provides depth and warmth. Cedarwood, patchouli and vetiver lend structure to the composition, while vanilla and tonka bean add a gentle sweetness. Orcanox rounds off the fragrance with a modern, creamy, ambery finish.

The creation comes from Ralf Schwieger, who is known for his conceptual yet intuitive approach to perfumery. "Forbidden Rouge" is presented in a deep red lacquered bottle, accompanied by an artfully designed packaging cover by Berlin artist Kaifan Wang, which addresses themes such as memory, inner resistance and the silent power of gestures.

About Mystikum

What was once considered a sign of luxury and artistic fragrance culture is returning in a new form: the German niche label Mystikum was founded in 2024 to reinterpret the legacy of the traditional Scherk brand. Scherk launched the fragrance "Mystikum" back in 1910 - a perfume that was celebrated internationally and made the company a fixture in perfumery until the 1920s.

Today, Mystikum continues this history and brings it into the present. In collaboration with perfumers such as Ralf Schwieger, Mark Buxton and Alexandre Illan, fragrances are created that combine classic craftsmanship with modern perfume art. The design also draws on the past: Art Deco elements meet contemporary aesthetics - an ode to the brand's heritage and the new zeitgeist.

The new fragrance is available in a bottle size of 100 ml.
