ScentXplore 2025: A Look at the Seventh Edition of the International Niche Trade Fair
From lectures on trends to the People's Choice Awards: The ScentXplore is entering its seventh edition in New York.
In just a few years, the ScentXplore has developed from a small gathering into one of the most important annual events in international niche perfumery. in 2019, the international convention started with around 600 visitors and 28 brands; today it brings together several thousand guests and around 75 exhibitors. Brands, perfumers, retailers and fragrance enthusiasts come together here to present, discuss and further develop independent perfumery. The event was launched by fragrance reviewer and content creator Max Forti, who wanted to create a platform for the growing niche fragrance scene.
It's that time again this year: from December 4 to 6, the international fragrance scene will gather in New York for the seventh edition of ScentXplore. The focus: new creations, insights into creative processes, trends in niche perfumery and the coveted People's Choice Awards.
Procedure and program points
The trade fair opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00 - in the morning exclusively for industry representatives and exhibitors, from 12:00 for all visitors. The focus is on a program of lectures, talks and masterclasses, covering topics such as brand authenticity ("Real vs. Replica" by Amouage), fragrance storytelling (David Seth Moltz, D.S. & Durga), current trends and future prospects in perfumery (Michael Nordstrand) and craftsmanship (Xerjoff, Memo Paris, EPS Fragrances).

Saturday will culminate in the People's Choice Niche Fragrance Awards ceremony, where the winners previously chosen by the community will be announced. Categories such as "Brand Concept & Portfolio", "Up-and-Coming Niche Brand" and "Rising Star Perfumer" were up for election. The results are intended to show which brands and concepts are currently particularly inspiring and surprising - and have the potential to help shape niche perfumery in the coming years.
Could you imagine taking part in the ScentXplore? And how important are fragrance events in general for you to gain insights into niche perfumery?
