"Cordovan Oud" and "Vétiver Royal": The New Eaux de Parfum From L'Atelier Parfum
L'Atelier Parfum expands its range with "Cordovan Oud" and "Vétiver Royal", created by Karine Vinchon-Spehner, who is known for her characterful, ambery-woody compositions.
Cordovan Oud - Oud with a close-to-the-skin feel
A sensory empire infused with gold and shadows.
L'Atelier Parfum
"Cordovan Oud" combines precious oud with a fine leather note, contrasted with saffron and dark cocoa.
The opening of apple, saffron and cinnamon combines fruity freshness with a warm spicy note. Notes of iris, cocoa, rose and incense then unfold on leather, suede, oud and papyrus to create a powdery, smoky and subtly animalic heart. Finally, the base of Burundi patchouli, fixyver, moss, musk, opoponax and cedarwood lends the fragrance depth and an earthy, woody-resinous signature.

Karine Vinchon-Spehner describes the composition as "an oud crafted like a second skin".
It has the velvety smoothness of suede. It is comforting and enveloping, with a hint of addictive cocoa.
Karine Vinchon-Spehner
The fragrance is part of the Opus 2 - Sensorial Illusion collection, which invites you on an olfactory journey to the Orient. Other fragrances in the line include "Arme Blanche", a bright, floral composition,"Dose of Rose", a modern, spicy-fresh interpretation of rose, and "White Mirage", a fragrance with creamy and soft woody notes.
Vétiver Royal - Woody freshness with spicy nuances
A breath of power, enveloped in irresistible allure.
L’Atelier Parfum
At the heart of "Vétiver Royal" is vetiver, accompanied by cedarwood, patchouli and a warm blend of spices.
The composition opens with spicy notes of chili, elemi resin and cardamom. At the heart, rose, red berries, white flowers and incense create a floral depth with a gentle smokiness. The fragrance is carried by a base of fixyver, labdanum, moss, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla and cedarwood, which gives it a warm, woody warmth.

The aim of Karine Vinchon-Spehner was to emphasize the lively woody nuances of cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood. The incense is intended to lend the fragrance a spiritual note.
"Vétiver Royal" is part of the Opus 1 - The Secret Garden collection, which is inspired by the idea of an inner, imaginary garden. The range includes fragrances such as "Cœur de Pétales" with fresh, bright floral notes, "Exquise Tentation" with sweet-floral and gourmand nuances and "Douce Insomnie" with mild, creamy woods and a hint of vanilla and cappuccino.
About Karine Vinchon-Spehner
Karine Vinchon-Spehner has made a name for herself with her characterful, often ambery and woody compositions for niche houses such as Amouage, Memo Paris and Xerjoff. Growing up in Normandy, she was surrounded by the smells of apple orchards and her grandfather's bakery production from an early age.
After training at the ISIPCA in Versailles, she joined the renowned fragrance and aroma manufacturer Robertet in Grasse, where she worked under master perfumer Michel Almairac. During this time, she developed her own style, which is characterized by a closeness to nature and the generous use of natural raw materials.
The two new unisex fragrances are available in bottle sizes of 15, 50 and 100 ml.
