Refreshing aquatic with mass appeal
Hawthorne Mineral Wave is a remarkably energizing fresh-aquatic scent with mass appeal and tremendous value.
Though somewhat linear, the fragrance presents an easy-to-imagine portrait of fresh sea spray at the beach on a crisp late-summer day. Fragrant sea notes, subtle sage, and inviting ozonic or petrichor notes open up just enough to reveal sand, driftwood, and inoffensive sea green undertones.
I keep wanting to sniff it over and over. Longevity and sillage are the only weaker points in this composition, this being around an EDT concentration. Both are around average. Another shortcoming; this was a limited edition that seems to be sold out and out of production.
At $60 for a 50ml bottle, this was a very strong value, and I hope it'll be back somehow.
