Very hard oranges
My first comment... I am crazy about Eaux de Colognes. After countless attempts with EdT and other concentrations, I always come back to the freshness kick that only an EdC really creates. I put up with the low durability, then I just have to re-spritz more often. Of course, I have a few personal classics, but I try a lot of things that come my way. This time it was Murray & Lanman "Orange Blossom". The name alone is a promise... The bottle - well, I was forewarned - is a real challenge, but for the low price you can't really expect anything better than a rather cheaply made plastic bottle. The cap with paper stuck on tightly, the screw top also cheap. The "traditional labels" represent a veritable "label fraud".... The scent? Well, in all honesty, as much as I enjoy fragrances in and of themselves, I have little idea of the various scents etc. The professionals in this forum will please forgive me for not being able to describe all this "expertly". So the scent: it smells way too strong to me. I think the base note is neroli, but I'm not sure. The fruity-fresh orange scent that is perceptible in the very first moment (and no longer) is immediately gone, and then comes the hammer! It becomes pungent-strong and has for my feeling so nothing to do with Mediterranean freshness and summer flavor. I'm aware that for a slim thirteen euros for 200 ml you can't expect too much, but I still feel sorry for the money. After all: diluted about 1:1 with 4711 results in an attractive room and laundry scent.
