The sweet skin scent you can’t stop sniffing
When Chet Baker crooned, “Let’s get lost, in a romantic mist…” clearly he was singing about Lost Cherry.
The Cherry is there from the first blast then poof! She’s lost. But wait, what’s this I smell on my skin? She is still there, only found. There within the deep Balsam of Peru, lost in the rich Tonka Beans.
Subtle wafts of that top note lost to almonds, roses, and everything sweet still yearn to be found with every sniff that comes just when you think it’s gone for good. Such a flirty little scent this Cherry is! Why must she always remind me that she’s still there when I begin to think she’s gone?
And what comfort it is to realize she’s still there! How calming and cloud-like she tickles my senses, so sweet she is without sickening me. I do think we will get lost together…

Return of the King
I say Return of the King because I first met DHP three years ago and the beast he was to fill the room and stay on my skin with that robust signature blend of Leather & Iris settling on a darker bed of Oud and notes of cacao that monsieur DHI lacks…
And with concerns stemming from the disappointing reformulation of Dior Homme in 2020, I was worried about the King coming home in 2022 with everlasting battle scars, but lo and behold, the King still slaps! Just one spray of my June 2022 bottle batch 2F01 on the back of my hand lasted into the morning after a night shower.
And when the King joined me for our first public appearance in years, he made his presence known again, filling the rooms as he once filled with that full-bodied note of Leather, Iris and Ambrette Musk; that unique thread of sweet masculinity that at any moment could quickly become the polarizing beast should you give him enough power.
He still fills your nose with that DNA Valentino Uomo Intense just could not get right. And makes your skin feel warmer by tricking you with his seemingly spicy accord in the base of Dior’s only male quest into the Orient. He still seduces, and commands the room. Yet, is more inviting than Chanel’s pungent Le Lion. He still grabs you from afar and reminds the wearer who’s in charge. And still inspires you to wear your finest suit on even the most casual of occasions.

The Floral Musk that could save you some serious money
This sandalwood here flirts with jasmine and musk the same way Another 13 from Le Labo does. They dance together right out of the bottle and never stop. The sweet wood with the flora musk creates this warm powdery vibe that feels smooth and creamy. Definitely not what you’d expect from a $20 purchase at a Target.
The bottle I found was the heavy clear 100 ml bottle similar to the ones Byredo puts out. Goodfellow & Co. are being a little more ambitious than what their client with a bullseye for a logo stand for and I gotta say, I’m for it. Technology is evolving and it appears the chemists and noses working at these cheapie houses are evolving with it. I still can’t believe the quality of this composition for the price point.
Sillage definitely doesn’t do what TF OL or DHI does but for 1 test spray from a EdC it’s still on my skin 6 hours later and giving me whiffs from a foot’s distance. This is just good quality all around and I gotta give props where it’s due. Listen to the message not the messenger. And this fragrance speaks for itself, forget that it came from Target.
At first blast there was a strong alcohol bite which quickly fades and becomes something of an older woman vibe. A few minutes later the Another 13 vibe starts and never stops. If you’ve never smelled Another 13, I can tell you this floral musk Goodfellow has created is a damn good $20 version of it incase you were considering dropping $200 more.
