herb fruit bomb
The relationship to Afternoon Swim is clearly recognizable at the beginning. The opening of the Splash feels even fruitier to me. The orange is more prominent here. As it develops, both become more similar, with the Splash becoming slightly more subdued. However, the biggest difference is the drydown. Here, I experience the Splash as more herbal, more masculine. If it weren't for this aspect, it would be a good substitute for Louis. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful, fruity summer scent that can also bring a warming smile on cold days.

"Sibling Love"
I already own Imagination (as a 10ml Souk) and I am very taken with this scent. Due to the hype and price, I tried SOTRSD as a 5ml Souk.
And what can I say, I am also very taken. It is not a clone in the true sense (like AdG and Lisboa) but rather, as described below, a fruity sibling that is definitely younger. The opening is very fruity with a sweetness that is pleasant to me. Over time, SOTRSD approaches its relative and becomes more mature. However, in direct comparison, it is still a bit sweeter/younger.
I have both on my arm and cannot decide which one is better. The fact is, the longevity of both is very good. Sprayed in the morning and still noticeable in the evening. I have never smelled my arms so often. Have I fallen in love with amber/ambrox? It doesn't matter. I was able to order a bottle from Zara and maybe I'll let Louis gift me one.

Finally Acqua Again
As a long-time user of Acqua di Gio, I am always on the lookout for similar fragrances. Especially since the original neither lasts long on me nor smells as intense. I also tested Perry Ellis 360, which was too spicy for me in the dry down.
Now I bought Lisboa blindly (at €12.95, you don't have to think long) and I must say I like it just as much as AdG used to be for me. Even in direct comparison, I find Lisboa to be stronger and fresher. The sillage is slightly better and the longevity is definitely improved. It is still pleasantly noticeable after about 5 hours. The original AdG doesn't achieve this for me anymore.
I wonder why I kept reaching for the original in recent years, even though the longevity was abysmal. I am still using the remnants of AdG so that I can enjoy the effect of Lisboa even more, just as AdG was meant to be.
