Everyone knows it! The search for that certain something. It shouldn't be off-putting yet should spark interest. Pleasing but not boring. Intense but definitely not overwhelming...
The first spray of Opulent Red was a carousel ride for my nose!
I immediately had the association of a white plastic bucket in which jasmine essence was stored for so long that the plastic container would forever retain it in its fine pores! Now it sits there, washed and scrubbed in the sun, and steams away! It is now used for gardening and transports bundles of sage...
The heart note took some effort for me not to end the whole spectacle immediately and take it with Aleppo soap and a sisal pouch of mine...
But fortunately, the hustle and bustle of everyday life prevented that!
In the drydown, I actually find parallels to Alien Essence Absolue and Armani Privé - Rouge Malachite.
And here I can still smell it after 6 hours... that’s something to replicate!
After wearing it a few times, I even find the weird opening great! Somehow, it’s exactly these edges and corners that grab you and give it that certain something! If you like jasmine with a punch, this is the right place.

Sulmona is meant to be a tribute to all married women. It is supposed to smell like dragees and embody the most beautiful day of their lives…

Elise is in the kitchen. All the ingredients for the cake are laid out on the table… the doorbell rings… what a misfortune, the package with the powdered sugar falls to the floor and a soft cloud of sugar fills the air… it’s Tessa, her best friend, who wants to help her with the baking… She enters the kitchen and laughs… shortly after the two of them add the almond flour to the mixing bowl, the mixer burns out… a hint of burnt plastic… but quickly Tessa grabs the whisk and energetically gets to work… Tessa is wearing Safanad and her rising body temperature and the mixing movements release her perfume into the room… my images of Sulmona.

I have already gone through the second bottle of M! And every time I wear it, I receive compliments!

I find it sensual and very feminine! But it is definitely not a light, fleeting companion…
One should really enjoy “dense” perfumes! (And I say this deliberately because, in my opinion, it doesn’t have anything heavy or dark)

At times, it reminds me of Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari, and if it had an elegant cousin from a fine house, it would be Blondine by Frassai, which I also love very much!

To be honest, I can't really pick out any individual components! I would describe it as rounded and balanced.

The bottle is a matter of taste… if it were filled in a simple square bottle with a golden cap, it would certainly appeal to a wider audience.

I haven't smelled BR540 in about a year. Back then, I was tempted to make a
purchase and wore it at most twice within a year.

Now I still see it in every "Top 10 Niche Perfumes for Life" list... so I thought to myself, go ahead! Order a sample and test it again... my perfume preferences have steadily changed over the years... and I regularly find myself on new trips: jasmine blossom, woods, coffee, tea, tuberose, well you know the symptoms of a perfume addict :)

No... nothing has changed, I still don't like it and can't wear it! It smells like burnt cotton candy on my skin. Do you know the liquid Mercuchrom-iodine solution in a small bottle, a wound and skin antiseptic from the pharmacy? ...that's what it reminds me of. Even the smell of a dentist's office, which is often compared, I would describe as more pleasant.
I asked family and friends what they think of the scent? No enthusiasm whatsoever! Apparently, all perfume novices :)!

For me, not much changes over time! Yes, the longevity and sillage are a beast. But that doesn't make it any more magical! This uniqueness seems to remain hidden from me...

You can't imagine how heavy this bottle is... the appearance is truly a matter of taste! What I find beautiful is the packaging of the Afnan perfumes... this one comes in a glossy red box lined with quilted fabric, which looks very elegant... now to the juice... no, you can't say that here because the longevity and sillage are top-notch! The perfume opens fruity, almost berry-like to my nose, even though there are none in it. The rose-saffron combination is quite subtly present and more creamy than piercing (which I unfortunately often experience with saffron-rose combos). The dry down is the best part because that's where the magic happens, and a lovely amber-vanilla dream accompanies you for hours with a hint of creamy musk. Really well done!!! It’s a perfect blend between ErbaPura and AmberStar!
