Although this fragrance is marketed as a gourmand, it immediately becomes very spicy on my skin. I believe the pink pepper accord is where some of that bitterness comes from. As the scent continues to develop, it dries down to a sweeter amber scent. I wouldn't personally classify this as a "gourmand." If you're looking for something that smells sweet and indulgent, this isn't a safe blind buy.
