The universal freshness for everyone
For me, Davidoff Cool Water Intense is a fresh fragrance that anyone who wants a fresh everyday scent for a very fair price should have in their collection.
In my opinion, the universal applicability as a fresh fragrance is the greatest strength of Cool Water Intense. Of course, you are not wearing an exotic, mysterious fragrance, but rather a real modern classic in an improved form.
It was also the first fragrance with which I personally approached the subject of "sweetness" very gently, as there is usually very little that attracts me there (with one major exception, I am looking at you Side Effect).
Cool Water Intense slowly transforms and brings out a fruity sweetness that adds another interesting layer to the fragrance, I think.
One of the fragrances I can recommend to anyone without hesitation, even as a blind buy.

A certain synthetic quality that I never warmed to
Sauvage has become a bit infamous and ridiculed in the meantime.
First of all: I don't think that does the fragrance justice. It has become extremely mainstream and has been "worn to death", which is ultimately not the fault of any fragrance per se.
However, I am not entirely sad about Dior Sauvage. This fragrance was given to me years ago and my bottle is still almost full, simply because the synthetics have always bothered me a lot. I really like fresh fragrances and the light citrus note, but the synthetics get me out before I can even begin to immerse myself in this fragrance.
This is certainly a matter of taste and I know that many people like the fragrance for that very reason, but for me it was always a negative thing.
If you can deal with the synthetics, put aside the now exaggeratedly bad reputation and look at what Dior offers here, then you will find a really all-round fragrance that can be worn easily in everyday life and everywhere. I don't think you can go far wrong here, even if I personally prefer other fragrances.

Incredibly sensual, spicy and impressive
It's relatively late in the evening. I'm browsing around again and discover Ambre Nuit in a video. The description didn't really grab me at first. A spicy fragrance? Woody and oriental? That's not really something that immediately appeals to me, I thought to myself.
Nevertheless, I became curious and ordered a bottle.
What can I say - I was completely speechless when I smelled the fragrance for the first time.
This fragrance simply casts a magical spell over me. The very delicate freshness in the head, but especially after a short time this incredible combination of fragrances is simply beguiling luxury for me.
I also can't remember having noticed this fragrance on a person before, because I am absolutely certain that I would have remembered it.
If I had to describe a place that this fragrance takes me to, it would be a classy, oriental-inspired luxury spa with wood-paneled walls, big soft sofas and fresh bouquets of flowers.
I have never been so quick to decide to buy a bottle, especially in this price range, but I just know I will wear this fragrance on many occasions and for a long time to come.

A reliable, if not unique, companion
If I had to summarize this fragrance in a single word, I would say: solid.
I have often heard and read that it is a blue fragrance, has many similar "colleagues" and is simply not unique overall.
It may not be unique, but it does a damn good job.
I also have Bleu de Chanel here and I think the fragrances are noticeably different, even if they have certain similarities.
For me, L'Homme Rochas is a little more restrained, more playful and much less citrusy. Younger, more delicate and softer than the Bleu, which I can only attribute to the slightly rosy note that gives the fragrance something slightly floral.
For me, it's a real everyday fragrance, especially suitable for the office, because it has few rough edges, doesn't "hurt anyone" and is rather restrained and unobtrusive overall.
For your money, you get a very solid and pleasant fragrance with good longevity, which I can really recommend if you are looking for an affordable all-rounder that does not have enormous individuality, but does a few things a little differently.

A fragrance you can grow out of
Creed Aventus has been on my shelf for some time now and I use it less and less.
Why is that? I think because I've outgrown it.
Originally, I loved its very masculine, eye-catching and unique character. Now I find it rather intrusive, almost penetrating.
I was sometimes quite happy about the rather short shelf life, so that this obtrusiveness fades away quickly.
Over the years, I have simply gotten to know many other fragrances with which I can identify so much more, in which I can find myself so much more.
Aventus accompanied me well for a short period of my life, but now I feel much more comfortable with other fragrance characters.
I'm sure others feel differently. I think Aventus suits someone who wants to smell confident, strong, fresh and a little fruity. If you can get past the citrus and fruitiness, I find that this fragrance also exudes an elegance through the solid base. For me, Aventus was never an everyday fragrance as I find it too flashy for that, I liked to wear it on occasions.
