Alien, but make it wearable (again)
That a flanker of a well-known fragrance can be better than the original I have already noticed in many fragrances that the mainstream likes quite well.
Cashmere Code by Armani is better than the original, Eau Sensuelle in my opinion better than Hypnotic Poison and also the Essence Absolue outranks the "normal" Alien.

Here at the souk, I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase an almost completely unused copy at a very fair price; especially considering the fact that the fragrance is no longer produced and that the bottle I bought is the THIERRY Mugler version. Accordingly, my specimen has escaped L'oreal's aggravation.

I admit that I have a thing for Alien...but the fact that it seems to be the official Douglas room scent and is now worn by really so many people clouds my affection a bit. No way to deny the typical DNA here. Jasmine & Amber form the typical radiance that the purple counterpart to Essence Absolute brings and has made so famous.

This flanker starts with the well-known, minimal jasmine note, which is already present in the original, but is consistently saved by the vanilla. Already at the beginning Heliotrop cuts the density of the jasmine beautifully and warming and also in the further course the fragrance remains warm and cozy, while I would like to call the original "cooler" throughout. In addition it is slightly "boozy", now and then almost liqueur-like and almost a tiny bit gourmand-esque, but in no way "edible". Towards the end of the fragrance you are rewarded with a beautiful vanilla, which doesn't have to hide from the Addict (2012) vanilla - my favorite vanilla.

All in all, it's a nice round of business. Durability and Sillage on (Thierry) Mugler typical level, although fortunately not as attention-seeking as the regular purple alien. Glad to get him here again and advise you to do the same when you get the chance.

The best that Dior has to offer in the designer segment
Many Dior friends may feel slightly pissed off by the headline, but "in my opinion" would not have been appropriate stylistically.
If only I had wanted to write a statement, I could have casually written "sophisticated sex ham with style", but even that doesn't do justice to the scent.

I also owned, or rather own, the 2002 and the 2012 version of the fragrance.
The leap from 2012 to 2014 is, in my opinion, relatively small, probably hardly noticeable for most people.
The famously infamous "Queen of the Night" note was in my opinion left in/not praised and/or different fragrances created the same feeling.

Addict starts off extremely white-blooded and a bit "hot", a good shot of cinnamon comes towards my nose. There was a time when I wore the fragrance so often that I could hardly notice the opening, but everyone else around me could see it very clearly.
The orange blossom appears shy and the jasmine from the base rounds off the overall picture of the fragrance at most a little bit; nobody has to expect alien-like conditions here.

But the "MVP" at Addict was, is and remains the damn nicely made, smoky, vanilla.
Sweet? Yeah! But also a bit dirty, smoky... just not gourmand. For me definitely one of the most beautiful vanilla I have ever smelled, designer or niche is left aside.

Addict's pulling a crazy sillage on you. Three sprayers are enough to let the environment participate more than enough in the beauty. By the way, according to friends, the scent itself is already very vanilla-laden at the beginning.
The durability is still very strong, although I admit that the 2012 version does slightly better.

All in all I find the fragrance wittily relatively unisex-esque, I smelled clearly more feminine things in the men's department.
All in all, I've loved Addict for a long time and can't imagine ever not having a version in my collection. It almost always works, at the most the midsummer thwarts the use of Addict.
And the best thing: I really rarely smell it on other people. In my current environment (medium-sized student city) not at all. At Designer-Dior, everyone feels more comfortable with Hypnotic Poison and Poison Girl. Too bad, because you are missing something.

Instant Crush = Instant Rush
Through a lovely perfume I got a sample of Instant Crush.
30 minutes after the first spray, the finger wiggled impatiently over the order button.

Instant Crush is NOT a dupe to Baccarat Rouge 540! First and foremost...
The DNA is similar, yeah... but they're clearly two different scents.
I had actually fallen very much in love with the Extrait de Parfum of BR540, but in the end I decided to go for the Mancera and I am quite happy with it - not least because of the price difference.

Instant Crush starts out spicy and sweet with its candied saffron vibe and becomes minimally hot and spicy with the ginger, which then quickly gives way to the sweet saffron and jasmine.
From then on, the fragrance only runs into a creamier and slightly less sugary version. The drydown of the fragrance is absolutely divine! Creamy, woody, vanilla and still strongly projecting.
For me, by the way, not metallic at any moment, although admittedly (very) synthetic now and then.
Durability and Sillage as usual with the Mancers above average up to (too) extreme.
Huge veil of scent and insane radiance; definitely potential to fill the room. Durability of clothing felt infinite... on the skin minimum one day.

Some write here that the fragrance is much more unisex than BR540. I personally cannot sign this. I don't think much of categorizing fragrances, but IMHO is definitely more feminine in its approach to Instant Crush.

Yatagan's statement is actually what I would like to sign, even though he apparently didn't like the scent that much. But he is right somewhere, because Instant Crush is extremely, partly very loud, easy to overdose and in tiny moments and/or at the "wrong person" maybe even a bit trashy... but in my opinion if carefully dosed it is a real compliment magnet and (still?) extraordinary enough to stand out from the crowd.

TL;DR: Here is the name - at least for me and my circle of friends - program
