Tool Diver for the Suit
Aqva pour Homme Marine by Bvlgari embodies for me a classic tool diver (Sinn U1 in my case) on my wrist. I am not a free diver, yet I still enjoy wearing this masculine dive watch on my wrist. And that’s how I feel about Aqva pour Homme Marine as well. With this fragrance, I can almost feel the saltwater on my skin, without actually standing in the sea. I have the sensation of needing to free the watch from a fine salt lake, as if I had just been underwater for several hours.

Aqva pour Homme Marine starts fresh, extremely cool, and intense on my skin. Beneath these initially heavy notes of aquatic freshness, delicate hints of grapefruit are hidden. After a few minutes, the wood notes increase and blend with a touch of mint.

The longevity is perfectly acceptable for such a fresh scent. With 3 sprays, I get about 5-6 hours throughout the day. Here, the comparison to my Sinn U1 comes back into play. This is a rugged tool watch that, for me personally, doesn’t need to run in the chronometer range (with + 4-5s/d it does, but that doesn’t matter). This watch must primarily withstand one thing: water and shocks. That’s its purpose. If I want delicate accuracy combined with breathtaking engineering, I wear my Grand Seiko with Spring Drive movement.

Aqva pour Homme Marine as a fragrance knows exactly what it wants to be. No more and no less. A fresh, aquatic perfume that conjures the feeling of seawater on the skin. And this feeling is conveyed to me every time by the fragrance.
