Once again, I catch myself in the drugstore by the fragrances, even though I already have countless ones at home waiting to be sprayed. But my nose craves more, something new, and doesn’t let me simply walk past these shelves. My gaze falls on the Beckham Collection, drawn in by the color blue, so I immediately reach for Classic Blue. A spritz on my wrist, ten seconds pause, and I dive in.
With my eyes closed, I suddenly feel really good. It’s fresh. Not cold, a warm freshness that brings to mind the beach in Florida. The fine sand that stretches only 30 meters to the road and flows into the sea at the other end hardly matters. It’s what’s happening here on the concrete. The light breeze from the sea makes me forget the sun in the completely cloudless sky. The blue up there now also dominates my emotional state. People walk by barefoot and in bikinis or shorts. Laughing, chatting, and visibly enjoying life in the sunshine. And there he is. My scent. It’s sporty. His Bermuda shorts with green floral patterns match perfectly with the simple white inline skates. The cool sunglasses he’s wearing complete the whole outfit. And he skates past me. I can smell him, this spirit, this fresh feeling from the wind bouncing off his body, providing the necessary cooling.
Eyes open, back in the store. I grab the fragrance and walk to the checkout without imagining a “what next” or “how long,” but I feel relieved when I sit in the living room two hours later and still catch a glimpse of the skater whizzing by in my peripheral vision. Everything done right.

Here I stand, in my trusted fragrance shop, looking at the "interim scent notes." My old one is empty, I need something different again. Yes, and as always, something new. Green. That is my favorite color. And that's exactly how the tester looks at me. All in juicy green. I've always had a positive opinion of Maxx, so why not with the Limited Edition? Just give it a try, the color is calling you to do it. Alright, I’ll take the plunge.

Eyes closed and nose to the wrist. Hmm... fresh... spring. I can really see it. The sun is shining, I see an endless green meadow and here and there, under the blue, cloudless sky and the blazing sun, I can also spot a few daisies in the field. They shine yellow. And then this light breeze carries the scent of the meadow to me. I catch myself grinning.
Eyes open. The meadow is gone... It turns synthetic. "So soon," I think? It makes me a bit sad because the brief effect had felt so good. My trip to the picnic meadow was lovely, but too quickly the effect fades, and I can no longer see the image from earlier.

Throughout the day, I find myself repeatedly smelling my wrist. Pleasant, still... But the feeling of the "breeze" is missing. Too much synthetic is now present, but the spark of the experience is still there. And then, an hour later, it's gone. No more meadow, no, not even a hint of a scent on my wrist. I look wistfully and simply say, "Thank you for the few seconds of spring."

When I saw the fragrance in the store, I naturally had to try it right away. For the price, it didn't even require a test spray, so I took it home immediately. Disappointment? No! Excitement? Not really! However, I must say that the positive aspect convinced me more than the negative sides.

Upon application, you immediately notice that this scent is not subtle or discreet. The sweetness hits you right away. Perhaps a bit too strong. One spray too many could already trigger a headache. However, in a reasonable, lesser dosage, I must say, the scent is bearable. I didn't notice the energy drink effect at all until I read about it. It was really the sweetness that comes at you immediately. The name "Absolut Man" is quite inappropriate for this fragrance. More like "Absolut Sweets - Sport Edition." Yes, it does come off a bit sporty, probably due to the overdosed citrus note.

At least it is fitting for this sunny weather. However, please use it only in everyday situations. This perfume is not suitable for evenings, dates, or other events. If you have no occasion, a few sprays are fine, but not more. You can definitely smell the "10€ perfume" in it. It also reminds me more of an Axe/Gammon aftershave than an Eau de Toilette.

All in all, I must say it is one of the better 10€ fragrances as it smells very fresh and spring-like. We will certainly be smelling it more often on sporty young people in the coming months, but the "hype" won't last long, and even the teens will quickly get tired of it.

At least the scent lasts a long time (at least for me), with a decent duration of 6 hours.
