Dark/sweet
I wasn't particularly surprised by this perfume, but I still found it very pleasant.
The fragrance opens with an all-pervading chocolate note mixed with chili. At some point, the chilli note becomes much weaker and the fragrance becomes woody and even sweeter. However, the chocolate remains present the whole time. It is a dark chocolate, at least 80% cocoa. This fragrance is relatively mass market for me, but it also has something special about it. I can recommend it to anyone. Longevity and sillage are, as is typical for Orto Parisi fragrances, naturally above average.

Hmmm....
Now what can you say about the Megamare from Orto Parisi?
Well, this fragrance was the fourth of the house that I tried. Bergamask, Terroni and Boccanera were the previous ones.
When I dripped a few drops from the 0.7ml sample onto my wrist and took my first sniff, a huge question mark immediately formed in my head. How can anyone say this fragrance is wearable?
Salty notes immediately popped into my nose, mixed with a pungent spicy note that I would attribute to seaweed. Many people, especially on social media, always described the fragrance as smelling like a "rusty ship". And I can only agree with that. If you like it, you should try the fragrance, but it's just not for me. To be honest, I find any strong oud fragrance that goes in the cowshed direction more wearable than this perfume. However, a big compliment to Alessandro Gaultieri for creating such an art. Yes, for me it is art, even if I don't particularly like the fragrance. But you don't have to like art. It's much more about what the artist wanted to express with it.

But is the performance really as strong as always advertised? All I can say is that even after 24 hours, this scent was still dancing through the air and continuously stinging my nose
An absolute beast. Even more impressive for an aquatic.

Terribly good!
Since this fragrance is one of my favorites, I have to give my opinion on it. So well:

Some time ago, I discovered more and more videos about this perfume on an app that is called something like a ticking clock. The bottle was accompanied by images of volcanoes and lava seas, paired with terrifying music. "I need this piece!" I thought to myself. I was familiar with Orto Parisi, but I had no idea what to expect. So I ordered a sample of "Terroni" and another of "Bergamask". After 8 long days, the wait was over and I was finally able to tear open the little envelope. And there it was. Shimmering reddish, waiting to be released. One spray on my wrist and I was already irritated: I had never smelled anything like it before. And now this fragrance is hitting me so hard that I had the feeling my olfactory nerve had blown. This was clearly a challenge for a young nose, which was currently on a high thanks to Acqua di Parma. But these question marks in my head were immediately followed by a shock infatuation. I couldn't stop smelling my wrist for the rest of the day. This fragrance held me captive.

But what does it smell like now? Let me explain:
On the beautiful island of Sicily in the south of Italy (where my grandfather is from, by the way) stands the volcano "Etna". And when I smelled the scent, I immediately associated it with what it smells like when Etna is bubbling away. Now it all made sense. That's why the bottle was always backed with lava in these videos! If you've never been to Sicily or near another volcano, I can explain it like this: Imagine you're camping and you wake up in the morning still smelling the smoke from the slightly smoldering campfire. This mixes with the slightly damp earth from the dew and the remaining chopped wood. And if you now add a light raspberry note in the top note, you get this masterpiece! This smokiness and woodiness mixed with a little spice and a light raspberry create a captivating olfactory experience. Simply awesome!

Now finally a little about the durability and sillage and the price.
The fragrance lasted at least 16 hours on my skin and was still slightly perceptible the next day. On clothes it survives several washes so I would advise against spraying it on textiles unless you want your sweater to form a symbiosis with the fragrance. Sillage is also above average. My mother told me how her study still smelled of my perfume an hour after I had left it (!!!). It's an absolute beast! I also think the price is totally reasonable and fair. For 145€ (if notino is in a patronizing mood again even only 120€) you get a really cool part with a performance that can be seen.

What can I say in conclusion? A clear buy recommendation for me. If you want a nice smoky and woody perfume that you don't smell every day, then get it.
But don't spray more than 3 times otherwise the plants around you will wilt!

From bitter to sweet
The fragrance opens with a nice dark woody-spicy note that reminds me of Orto Parisi Terroni. Beautifully smoky and woody, I like to compare it to a campfire. It stays like this for a good while until it becomes sweeter and sweeter. I also smell something slightly floral and sweet. After a good 4 hours you can smell the vanilla note very strongly, so much so that I thought a classmate was wearing Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla. It lasted a good 8 hours. I can only disagree with the statement that the fragrance is not suitable for the masses. All in all, the fragrance is something very special, but you can also wear it very well. Top, I like it very much!
