This is a very beautiful fig fragrance. The citron opening is very bright but when it settles in you get a strong, juicy fig with some floral touches. Lasting power is very good and projection is good too. I’m not a fig lover so I won’t be buying the big bottle but I’d recommend it to people who do love fig scents.

Opens with some sparkling fruity notes which maintain their presence albeit in less potent form when the iris kicks in and the sweetness of the praline emerges. Really beautiful and quite sweet so not for those who get headaches from sweet perfumes. I'm that person sometimes but this one isn't too sweet for me personally. It's got a freshness to it which goes toe to toe with the heaviness of the praline and iris which I find to be really refreshing. Good strength so no need to heavily apply and it's known for being good for lasting. The bottle is beautiful and of course the name is unbeatable: life is beautiful.

I couldn't believe what I smelt at first so I went to two other stores to test this fragrance and each time the same result came through. There's probably a fruity note in there but it's very bitter and has a burnt smell to it. Nauseating if I try smelling it for too long. I know the perfume experts really prefer this to La Vie Est Belle which commits the transgression of being "mass appealing", but I have to say this scent does not entice me to join in their esoteric views. I didn't leave a rating because I didn't want to dump on something others really love but I think the current average of 6.8 is generous enough compared to what I'd rate it.
