A Milestone for Parfumo: 200,000 Fragrances - And a Huge Thank You to Our Community!

With the addition of the perfume "Muguet 2025", added by ssydlo, Parfumo has reached a new milestone: 200,000 fragrances now enrich our database - a success we owe to you.

What began in 2008 is now one of the largest and most reliable fragrance databases in the world. Parfumo is a living archive of fragrance culture - a platform where users share their passion for perfume, pass on their knowledge and document information about fragrances that may have long been forgotten elsewhere. Parfumo makes this knowledge available. For today and for future generations.

The Parfumo research project was launched in 2013 with the aim of creating a detailed, source-based database of knowledge about fragrances. Since then, Parfumo has followed the principle of Wikipedia: dedicated fragrance enthusiasts are constantly compiling new knowledge, adding entries and correcting inaccuracies. An equally dedicated core team ensures that quality standards are maintained.

A few figures that highlight your contribution:

• 131,294 corrections have been made to make our database even more accurate and reliable.
• 10,965 different fragrance notes are currently listed - carefully researched and carefully maintained by hand.
• 7,858 users have actively participated in the research and together have collected over 574,000 sources.

We owe this milestone to you.
