“La Rhapsodie Noire” - New Fragrance by the French Niche Label Dusita

With "La Rhapsodie Noire" Dusita presents a new fragrance that found its inspiration in the Parisian années folles - the crazy years of tempo and optimistic restlessness.

The brand's latest creation is an imaginative variation on the classic fougère theme, focusing on an elegant gourmand note of coffee, rum, burnt sugar, tonka bean and vanilla.

When Pissara Umavijani, founder and perfumer of the label, was crossing Pont-Neuf in Paris one evening while listening to "Rhapsody in Blue," she was struck by the fabulous charm of the city, seemingly unchanged, especially at night.

She decided to make a fragrance dedicated to the "Années Folles", a time of extraordinary dynamism and creativity. The goal was to create a vibrant, lively perfume of timeless elegance, full of pulsating vitality and artistic freedom.

The result was a combination of rum coffee, refined florals and sweet earthy notes - a variation on the classic fougère style, enriched with gourmand notes. As a tribute to the music and the night that inspired it, she named the fragrance "La Rhapsodie Noire".

In the top notes, clary sage and French lavender provide a fougère-like aromatic freshness that seamlessly transitions into a lovely floral blend.

The heart captivates with invigorating, energetic notes of coffee and rum, along with cigar nuances meant to evoke the atmosphere of 1920s cafés in Paris.

In the base notes, earthy components (patchouli, oakmoss, oakwood, vetiver) support the composition, while sandalwood, tonka bean and vanilla from Madagascar create a gourmand atmosphere.

The perfume is available in bottle sizes 50ml and 100ml.
