little interjection
a lot has already been written here, so a proper comment is probably not needed anymore. after a short test sniff many moons ago, I treated myself to this little water now, not expensive, but for 4€ on eBay, and I find it really very good as a fresh light summer scent. I read here that the scent is aquatic. well, I always thought I didn't like aquatic... for me, it's more of a laundry scent, unobtrusive, clean. however, after a few days, a light bulb went off for me, as the scent somehow seemed very familiar. it smells almost exactly like "Salsa" by Yves Rocher, an old summer favorite of mine. since that is no longer produced, this wonderful water is a good substitute for it.

mmmh, that was sooo delicious! pure cherry! unfortunately, it's no longer available at cdc, but I will go hunting on the bay. I love vintage fragrances... although? 2001? that's not so long ago. feels like an eternity. but still, I have very positive memories of the scent. also the sweet fluff on the bottle... :) just like Insomnie, also by Michel Klein, a great unusual fragrance.

never again blind buys - once again...
oh dear! I really ended up with something quite terrible... sorry, but I find it truly awful! if those are the pines I’m smelling, then I guess I don’t like them. or is it the verbena? to me, it smells like really nasty thyme and tar. if it weren’t for this note, the fragrance (on me) would be beautiful, fresh, light, elegant. I would call it ladylike restraint. sometimes that can be quite useful. but this one note - brrr! I hope it fades away, then maybe we can still become friends...

subtle lady of the world
this is already the second fragrance I have tried from sjp (the first was "Covet"), and it is surprising that her scents tend to be rather herbal and unusual (at least on my skin). no sweet celebrity nonsense for little teenage girls. I indulge in the illusion that sjp actually had a hand in the scent composition and brought in her feminine maturity. lovely is a bit more pleasing than "Covet" (which is really very different, please test it yourself). the later it gets, the more bergamot there is, which is confusing. I can still pick out woods and musk, but that’s about it for me, scent notes dyslexic. I like the fragrance well, something for days when I want to emphasize my rugged charm.

The Hit of the 80s
Vu was the absolute hit perfume of my youth, the ultimate scent bomb. With this oriental on my skin, I felt like a seductive goddess, an irresistible sex bomb, a diva of a thousand promises. With the carefree spirit of youth, the fragrance was worn morning, noon, and night. It gave me a feeling of superiority over "Vu"-less young ladies, which seems almost ridiculous in hindsight. But it was true. And it was fantastic.
Unfortunately, my inability to describe fragrances clearly is coming into play again, especially since I can't even find a list of notes for Vu. Well then, Vu starts with a mix of citrus notes and oriental spice. The citrus notes quickly evaporate, leaving the warm heavy spice, along with a nuance that I couldn't find in any current perfume. It leans most towards (old) Opium.
In any case, it's a happy memory that I can enjoy again now, now that I'm no longer a little girl, but actually a diva of a thousand promises... *wink*
