melancholic spring
I associate this scent with my childhood. Growing up on the outskirts of the city right next to a small linden grove, every spring I would get a good whiff of the scent of linden blossoms in my nose.
Three years ago, when I had the chance to test a small sample of L'Amandière, I was immediately transported back to the old house of my childhood. In spring, when the temperatures slowly begin to rise and everything comes to life. Early in the morning, the mist still hovers over the grass and only a few blossoms have opened.
At first, I smell strong green notes - fresh and zesty. Then I immediately recognize the linden blossom on my skin. As it develops, everything is then overlaid by a green almond blossom and the scent becomes a bit softer. From the fragrance notes, I perceive it as a spring scent, but since it remains quite green, it will certainly be wearable in summer as well.
This scent actually doesn't match my fragrance preferences.
But L'Amandière always makes me feel melancholic, and at the same time, I feel protected and well taken care of. That's why, after 3 years, I've finally acquired a bottle and will not only smell my sample but also wear L'Amandière in spring.
