Sailor Neptune X Sailor Uranus
Glossier’s You is a scent I really had no intention of ever buying, but then my curiosity got the best of me. A minor point: I hate this bottle, it’s dreadful. It looks like a small pink blandly Cronenbergian lump of quivering flesh. I can, however, get over that, because as it turns out and much to my surprise...I actually really love what’s inside the horrid skin sack of a bottle. It’s possible that I had very low expectations because I don’t like any of Glossier’s other products and also because I am maybe a snob. But I really don’t mind being wrong! Okay, I am a Taurus and I hate being wrong! But I make an exception for perfume. You is a wonderful melding of this chilly, ghostly delicate iris musk and a warm, woody, sturdy peachy amber quietly enveloped in a crystalline psychic glow of pink pepper and you kind of wonder how these notes got together but then you think of Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus and it all just makes perfect sense. Yes, this is a queer classic anime power couple of a scent and I absolutely adore it.

You but Better
I find this to be good on its own but even better for layering. It does have a bright, sparkling scent when first applied and then I get the Ambroxan and Musk with a touch of white floral which I believe is Iris. It can be a little metallic. This is one that I go back and forth with and I have found to like it more when I mix it with other scents that I find are too floral and strong for me. I did notice it makes scents last longer when combined. You will probably enjoy this one if you like Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume.

Great everyday scent
You've probably heard of the "your lips but better" kind of lipstick - this perfume is the equivalent of that in regards to scent. It opens up with peppery - fresh - fruity notes, and then develops into a softer, more powdery "clean" scent that smells almost like your skin - only better.

"You" definitely sticks hovers close to your skin, and is a comforting companion over the day. It doesn't announce its presence, but is definitely noticeable for those close to you - especially in hugs, where it tends to get compliments of the "you smell so good today" variety.

For me, this is a great everyday scent: relaxed, clean, calm, but still fresh. However, if you haven't owned a scent of the category "skin scent" yet, I'd definitely advise sampling this before, as I've heard some people say they cannot notice this scent on their skin at all.

It's fine
I had this perfume for a year or two, and while I think it's lovely in it's own right, it wasn't something I reached for often. Sometimes a spritz before bed, or an absentminded, curious sniff to see if it elicits any emotion from me other than a contemplative sigh.

This was probably the last blind-buy purchase for me before I reeled in my fragrance purchasing sensibilities. Had I smelled it in person before, I likely wouldn't have picked it up. Just a smidge too powdery for my tastes, but I also don't have anything else like it in my collection. I don't think that necessarily signifies a gap in my collection, but rather a space that doesn't need to be filled.

You is Me
Scent: This perfume definitely is one of those YMMV scents. I mean, it’s kind of their whole gimmick, right? A fragrance that’s personalized to you? But here’s the thing: I really like it. I didn’t expect to. When I first sprayed it it didn’t smell like much. But I found I kept coming back to the sample and the bit I accidentally sprayed on my hand. It’s just a perfect scent for me. It is heavy on Ambroxan, and if that’s something you like, you’ll probably like this. I am utterly enchanted by ambroxan and generally love iris so this is kind of perfect for me. It has a very cozy, creamy feel on my skin which makes it highly comforting…to me. On someone else, I could easily see this coming off as too powdery and uninteresting. Of all the ambroxan heavy fragrances, this is one of my favorites after Molecule 2. 9/10

Longevity: Don’t expect this to hang around long. It has a lifetime of maybe 4 hours if I’m lucky, and that’s with several spritzes. You will go through a lot of fragrance. 5/10

Sillage: This is also called You because this fragrance is for you. It is very much a skin scent so unless you do a lot of snuggling you’ll be the main one appreciating it. 5/10

Bottle: I like the indentation on the bottle. But why the plastic cap? Boo. 4/10

Value: Worth giving it a whirl. I keep a small bottle of it mostly for when I go to bed. It’s might not be worth it if you use it frequently. 6/10

Unfortunately, I’m in the category of the folks that smell very little here.

To me, it smells as if you opened an old book (not necessarily a bad thing) and it was full of pencil shavings on the inside.

I liked it a lot when I tested it at Sephora so I bought the travel size, but now all I smell is dusty olive oil

I would have been ok with smelling pencil shavings. I get basketball?? Or maybe rancid vegetable oil. Strange

Clean powdery musk with slight sweetness and a hint of pink pepper. Lasts well. Good for layering too.
