It smells like a fall candle, even my sister asked who was burning a candle after I applied it haha. It's not terrible or anything but.... I don't really want to smell like a candle. FYI it's not a dupe for angels share nor is it close IMO, it's just a similar genre of scent. It becomes a kinda spicy vanilla after a while. Good lasting power and sillage, not worth the increased price.

This perfume is so boring, which is why I was expecting to love it, but it really has nothing going for it. I can’t really discern any smells except for this synthetic floral neroli vibe that also brings with it a sharpness, I barely get much sweetness.

It also smells like molten plastic when you sniff it from the bottle or freshly sprayed.

Performance isn’t the best either.

The opening of this perfume is so so so beautiful! The second you spray the perfume, you get a blast of natural forest smells, pine, resins, rain, very natural and beautiful. I was so surprised.

Unfortunately, it has this cheap incense note in it which begins to really dominate the fragrance (possibly just on my skin though.) It somehow goes from smelling like a 300 dollar perfume, to an unattractive and nauseatingly cheap musty smell. I imagine this is what you would smell anytime you visited your severely mentally ill grandparents house to clean. I’m not sure how anyone could like this.

To top it off, you also get left with a black pepper note that’s quite disgusting. It doesn’t leave until you shower or wash your clothes.

I was really hoping to like this one but it was a real let down.

There is no leather note in this but for some reason I’ve picked one up the whole time. I was hoping to get a beautiful, warm, musky version of BR540, but instead all I get is rancid gasoline mixed with a leather note. Also, there’s really no caramel sweetness at all to me.

I gave it 5 hours to dry down in hopes of it transforming, but it’s just really gross. Maybe it’s just my skin, but I can’t imagine anyone liking this.

EDIT: okay, I think the trick is that you have to spray it pretty far away from you. If you spray it concentrated on a single area it smells very nasty, no sweetness and just gasoline and leather. A fine mist from far away though, and it is quite nice!!! It becomes this sweet, musky, aromatic cloud that hugs me. Not quite sure why that made a difference. It’s a bit on the synthetic side but nothing too overwhelming or bothersome IMO. It lasts around 7 hours for me, but continues to linger around longer.

This perfume performs extremely well and smells absolutely delicious! Great longevity and sillage. Unfortunately I haven’t smelled la nuit tresor so I can’t compare the two.

Definitely pick this up if you’re into smelling sweet and edible with hints of spices, patchouli, and musk in the background to round it out!
