Oud in the foreground with touch of cocoa in the background
Comparisons to Russian Oud from Areej le Dore, which can be encountered for this fragrance, are warranted. This is a perfume based on a similar scheme to Russian Oud. Nevertheless, the proportions of the individual fragrance notes are reversed here. In the foreground is oud, similar to what can be sensed in Chinese Oud II, for example. It is very expressive, I personally feel a slightly , “plastic” character here, although of course this is just an illusion, because it is a natural composition. At the same time the oud is not animalic. On the other hand, there is a noticeable cocoa in the background. But it is not as emphasized as in Russian Oud. A very pleasant base, characteristic of Yoga. This is not my favorite from Jogi, but fans of Russian Oud may certainly like it.

Herbal and oudy artisanal fragrance made with top quality ingredients
A very herbal, though non-pharmaceutical, introduction. Definitely something for people who like herbal fragrance notes in perfumes. You can feel that this is an artisanal work, at the same time the quality of the ingredients and the good bland indicate that the perfume was prepared by someone who knows how to do it. Over time, a green, slightly smoky oud takes over the main role. What I like most, however, is the base, which is extremely pleasant to the nose. I believe that the quality is not at all inferior to more well-known brands such as Areej le Dore or Ensar Oud. A good, artisanal perfume. One of my favorites from Jogi.

Smooth and easy to wear fragrance with good quality, vintage ingredients
Very pleasant to wear and comfortable fragrance. Personally, I don't detect a retro vibe in it, as some people write in their reviews, despite Adam's use of vintage ingredients. There is indeed a bit of citrus and lavender in the introduction, but nothing here comes to the forefront. The whole thing is very smooth and pleasant. The musk has no animal character. Iris is also the important ingredient in this composition. ,,Musk Lave'' is a very safe fragrance. I noticed many similarities to ,,Al Majmua”. If one owns ,,Al Majmua'', I don't see the point of looking for ,,Musk Lave''. ,,Al Majmua'' is still available, on top of that the price is incomparably lower. Of course, these are not identical fragrances, and it is clear that one can have both in a collection. However, the overall character of the fragrances is very similar in my opinion.

Black tea in the starring role with a maritime background
The Chronicles brand is headed by Alan Balewski, a Polish independent perfumer. The brand's compositions are meant to reflect images of historical events. In this case, we have the year 1773 and the famous “Boston Tea Party”, under which the slogan is a political protest of the residents of Boston, considered one of the initial episodes of the American Revolution, and which manifested itself in the throwing into the sea and destruction of the entire cargo of Chinese tea, which was on ships moored in the port.

As you can easily guess, tea takes the main lead in the composition. Aromatic, expressive (certainly not brewed several times from a single bag as some do ;) but we are dealing here with a decent, condensed brew of good strength ;) Served in a dry way, without sweetness. Despite its distinctiveness, there is a kind of subtlety here, thanks to which the whole thing does not overwhelm, but makes its presence known in a non-intrusive but definite way.

Tea, however, is not everything. According to what we can read in the description of the fragrance on the creators' website, quote: “The fragrance is spacious, cool, at first fresh and penetrating thanks to the sea air, later passing into a tea-like heart (...) At the same time, we are constantly accompanied by port connotations - the smell of grease, wooden crates, winter smoke, reflecting the atmosphere of the Boston skyline shrouded in darkness and cold.” And all this can indeed be sensed! But there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of these , “grease and wooden crates”. Rather, they are the background of the composition, fitting into the whole and harmonizing with the other fragrance notes. However, such nuances testify to the craftsmanship of the perfumer and the ability to transform the concept into the final product.

I rate the parameters as very good. It is long-lasting, and the projection is initially very strong, then moderate, for me ideal. Because it will not overwhelm its surroundings, but at the same time will remain distinct for a long time. The product comes in a wooden box that opens like a book. Inside we have a description about the historical context. And all this is enriched with illustrations, which very well convey the atmosphere that the fragrance creates. A great balance between the niche character, quality and usefulness of the perfume. I would rate the perfume as unisex, although for me it leans more towards the masculine side.

Currently, I'm mainly focused on perfumes that contain a lot of natural ingredients and brands such as Annette Neuffer, Areej le Dore, Ensar Oud, Yogi, etc. So I don't reach for these perfumes as often as I used to. Nevertheless, I have a lot of fondness for them as one of the first perfumes whose fragrance introduced me to the world of the niche.

The smell of chilled gin and lemon in the opening with strong lavender in heart notes
The fragrance is definitely for the warmer season. A twist on the masculine side although I think women could also wear it. The first few seconds after spray are very pleasent to my nose. This opening reminds me of a chilled drink with gin and lemon. However, this effect passes very quickly and in a moment the first fiddle is taken over by lavender and some other herbs, very distinct and for me personally somewhat associated with laundry detergent. Although I like lavender, this stage is not my favorite. I know that this is a natural perfume, however, at this stage I associate the scent somewhat synthetically. After time, the spiciness of the lavender begins to fade a bit and it becomes more soothing and pleasant to the nose. This is complemented by delicate citrus in the background. Persistence, for a fresh perfume, is good.
