Pleasant florals and spices captured in a bottle
It is my first scent from Elhaldi I have ever tried. And I must say it is really nice one. I was very suprised when I snifeed it. It is the top quality fragrance which I can put together on the shelf alongside brands such as Areej le Dore, Ensar or Bortnikoff. Dukkan is very well blended. Opens with a blast of florals. It is difficult to detect individual ingeredients - it just smells good as a whole composition. I can find some similarities to Sunest in KSA from Jinkoh, especially because of rose. But Sunest in KSA was a little bit too sweet for me. While the Dukkan is not too sweet and well balanced. Black tea doesn't play the main role, it is more on the background in my opinion. In the begining the scent is sligthly animalic, probably because of indian oud, but it not overwelming. Just adds a character. The drydown is woody, creamy and stays long on the skin. I reccomend to test Dukkan. For sure I will try to check more scents from this brand.
More woody and creamy version of Santal Sultan
Some time ago I have tried Santal Sultan. And it was one of those fragrances from Ensar, which I could add to my collection. But as Santal Sultan was not on the top of my whishlist, I still haven't buy it. But....I tried Santal Royale last week and in my opinion it is even better, more woody and creamy version of Santal Sultan. Probably the best sandalwood fragrance as far as I know. There are a few ones which are on the top of this list, like Kyara to Byakudan from Agar Aura or Creme de la Creme from Areej le Dore. But Kyara to Byakudan is more oudy scent. And Creme de la Creme is a complex fragrance which contains much more notes, including a few different types of ambergris. But Santal Royale is all about the sandalwood. And it is sandalwood heaven ;) for those, who like this ingredient. The spicy opening reminds me a little bit of thai curry. But it is less prominent than in Santal Sultan and because of it I would say it is more balanced. And these spices add character to the whole composition. I am adding Santal Sultan to my wishlist and I will be searching for the full or partial bottle :) It is definitely worth trying.
Beautiful jasmine captured in a bottle
This fragrance, together with Melati Gaharu from Hunayn, has changed my mind about jasmine. I was not a big fan of jasmine and..... finaly I have 2 fragrances in my collection which are mostly based on jasmin :) Musk al Muluk is quite similar to Melati Gaharu but the jasmin is less indolic hear, a more airy and slighly lighter scent of jasmin - more like jasmin tea. I can't decide which one is better.
I am not a big fan of the drydown of Musk al Muluk. It is just ok, with a sligthly animalic facets, but not so detectable. But the opening is so beautiful! I highly recommend it to all the people who like jasmine.
One of the best jasmine scents I know so far
I don't know the first version. But the latest one changed my mind about jasmine in perfumery. I haven't been a big fan of jasmine since I smelled Melati Gaharu by Hunayn and Musk al Muluk by Katana. Both are wonderful jasmine fragrances. Here, in the opening, I sense quite indolic, very fresh different types of jasmine flowers mixed with jasmine tea. I feel like I'm back in spring when the flowers are blooming. And oud in the background, to give the fragrance depth and a slightly woody character. I recommend Melati Gaharu to all jasmine lovers and those who are not particularly fond of this flower but want to give it a second chance :)
Very nice oud / rose combo
The scent is slightly different from what Taha has accustomed us to. Oud is not the centrepiece here, but harmonises equally with the other notes. In other compositions from Agar Aura, oud usually plays the leading role. For me, Celeste Dore is mainly an oud and rose composition. Nevertheless, many perfumes of this type, such as Triad by Bortnikoff, are not to my taste. However, I really like Celeste Dore.
On the one hand, the fragrance is slightly ethereal, delicate and airy. On the other hand, it is distinctive enough to have its own character. It can easily be worn every day. It will not be bothersome to those around you, and at the same time it will please the person wearing it.
The rose is very pleasant and perfectly blended with other notes. I would say it is unisex. But maybe a little bit closer to the men's side. Sad that it has been already sold out on Vivace.
