It's strange with the scent memories and associations. I treated myself to the fragrance after reading the reviews here and being (unconsciously?) addressed by the beautiful images that arose in my head. After spraying it on for the first time, I felt transported back 25 years: Mid-20s, new flame, new jacket(vera pelle), strolling together in the spring forest. When a fragrance can pull something like that off, I'm intrigued. I have found a new companion and will enjoy its freshness and timelessness again and again. The fresh opening lasts up to an hour, then it becomes a little quieter, sage and leathery have a relaxing effect and before the scent evaporates man would like to start over and refill.

Makes his name all honor - for me, a newly reissued classic, which is per Olfactorius actually able to evoke associations with rolling hills and cypress-fringed landscape. Always wearable, never intrusive.

This scent fulfills dreams of light, summer, sun--- BelPaese. My nose says: incredibly refreshing opening, with the mint still lurking rather behind. After a short while, the mint comes forward a bit---the scent is now reminiscent of Acqua di Parma's "green". Later, it quiets down a bit and the woody note takes the reins. A fragrance that lingers all day, never becomes intrusive and constantly transforms. All who like the black of Gutteridge will also love this fragrance!
