Harmony of Insignificance
Unfortunately, it's an almost interchangeable aquatic scent. It is characterized by a mixture of fresh, floral, and tea-like accords and does not really develop. The fragrance feels generic and replaceable. The sillage is also, especially in this price range, very lacking, as one can hardly perceive the scent. It really requires a rather intense sniff directly from the skin. A harmony of subtle accords may be true, but unfortunately, the scent profile remains too indecisive and reserved to truly stand out to the wearer or even the surroundings. What a shame!

Back to the Honey-Golden Black
Honey, honey, honey...for honey enthusiasts, the perfect scent. Back to Black is, in my opinion, rather a monothematic fragrance despite its seemingly impressive fragrance pyramid. The defining element is the wonderful sweetness of honey with all its natural aromas. It is a very intense and initially unusual scent, but that is precisely what makes it so unique and unmistakably recognizable. This Kilian smells like hot milk infused with the most intense natural honey. It also offers that slightly scratchy sensation one experiences with colds when enjoying this honey milk, as well as a pleasant, almost balsamic light stickiness. The fragrance composition deserves credit for the fact that the honey and its very subtly supportive other accords feel very natural and not synthetic. I find Back to Black, aside from the expectations of the scent profile that the fragrance pyramid can evoke, very successful, even if it is monothematic. However, the scent profile shows little development and constantly oscillates between scratchy and caressingly sweet. Definitely worth a "sniff," both for men and women. Back to Black is definitely a fragrance for colder days, as in midsummer it would be a blow with the scent club. Overall, a truly wonderful and unique but intense honey scent that one should preferably test twice without bias to become aware of its magic.

Let the Apple Distill!
Apple Brandy starts like an olfactory aroma explosion of an alcoholic Berentzen schnapps in the flavor direction of "Sour Apple." However, this rather intense scent journey only lasts about 3 minutes. Afterwards, the top note shifts into a slightly alcoholic but still well-balanced fragrance profile with a wonderfully harmonized underpinning of smoky and woody accords. The scent profile that emerges from the interplay of the accords is wonderfully rounded and aromatic, extending all the way to the base note. In the final act, alongside the thoroughly rounded scent profile, a gourmand undertone makes its presence known, allowing Apple Brandy to finish pleasantly soft. Thus, Apple Brandy is a wonderful interplay of different olfactory aromas, consisting of minimalist alcoholic brandy, warm woods, pleasantly restrained smokiness, and a barely perceptible hint of vanilla.
Very Tasty! Only the rather moderate sillage and skin-close projection give reason for complaint.

A Taste of Heaven
Very pleasant and special scent with very good sillage and longevity. It has a fresh opening and a pleasantly light oriental finish. Overall, it continually evokes an Aha moment in me. This fragrance requires some time to unfold, but it provides its wearer with new scent aromas time and again. Last but not least, the green color of the fragrance makes it something truly special. The color is meant to remind one of absinthe, which is supposed to represent the main theme of the scent composition. The absinthe aroma is perfectly and incredibly rounded, slightly sweet and "drinkable," created through the interplay of the individual accords. A truly wonderful fragrance experience that the surrounding environment will definitely smell and love. Grandiose, and I have finally found it, my signature scent!

"The Pure" Thoroughbred of King Solomon
Safanad leaves me feeling somewhat ambivalent. For fundamentally, it is a wonderfully understated, indeed complex and multifaceted fragrance. Unfortunately, the opening is too trivial and insignificant for me. I smell a very restrained, slightly citrusy aura with shallow pear nuances, but unfortunately nothing more. The scent profile in the top note initially creates a pleasant baseline mood, but after the third sniff, it loses more and more significance, and I wish for a change. This change from the too shallow citrus-fruity aspect occurs after about 3.5 hours. In the heart note, Safanad becomes floral-fresh, and if you test Meliora at this point, they could be scent twins. Unfortunately, the base is, in my opinion, rather a generic floral water, which I have already smelled in what feels like 1,000 other perfumes. It does not smell bad at all, no, but it lacks uniqueness and its own identity. After now more than 5 hours, one would actually expect nothing more, until now the unexpected special appears. For in the base note, the scent profile of Safanad transforms again, but now into one of the wonderfully roundest and best-balanced vanilla accords I have smelled in perfumes so far (only Sublime Vanille hits my taste even more accurately). The now emerging vanilla has exactly the right degree of sweetness and is incredibly dense and harmonious. The fragrance feels present but not overpowering, and fortunately elevates Safanad in quality. Craftsmanship is particularly close to perfect in the base note, that I almost wished for a monothematic vanilla scent with the character of the base. Safanad is certainly not a bad fragrance, quite the opposite. It just falls a bit short of my personal expectations and demands of the brand Parfums de Marly. However, for women who prefer to stand out subtly or are looking for a scent that radiates a suitable but consistently different scent profile in the morning, noon, and evening, I can recommend Safanad with a clear conscience. Furthermore, the longevity is enormous, which makes Safanad a companion for the entire day.
