Aventus. The perfume, the myth, the legend
Aventus. It feels like you've heard about the perfume from birth, thousands of rumors swirl around this one perfume and somehow it's a milestone that you can't avoid. Everyone talks about it, everyone has an opinion about it and everyone thinks that you can "leave out the fragrance description because you know it anyway".

While I can agree with the first points, I would like to address the last one, because in my opinion there is still something to add to the "common knowledge" about perfume:

I've been dealing with perfume for a few years now, starting with the idea of "getting a decent perfume so that I don't have lots of different cheap ones later". Well, you can imagine what has become of it when I am registered here on the platform...

The first perfume was Versace Eros, the second quickly followed with Prada Carbon and then you kept hearing about the one "AVENTUS" (with a choir of angels in the background) in YouTube videos. To summarize a bit, at some point the CDNIM came home, then the Supremacy not only intense, then at some point Hacivat (I recently heard that Hacivat owners only own Hacivat because they want to feel more original than those who own Aventus. In my case, perhaps the truth...). The first niche perfume became Layton, then at some point this and that was added.

And then it came: THE AVENTUS!

Like everyone else, I knew something about "pineapple in the top note, then a little smoky and woody in the drydown, performance questionable, clones are all better".

So, what was there:

Aventus with the metal cap ersoukt, cap removed (very high quality) and sprayed.

Atomizer: You can actually see how much has been removed from the bottle after a single spray, that's blatant, but it also spreads in a wide mist.

Here is the actual fragrance description!!!:

Then the fragrance:

Pineapple in the opening, big surprise, I know. It smells more or less artificial depending on how close you spray it. But never like the CDNIM. In my opinion, the pineapple smells a little more authentic in the Hacivat, but that could just be my imagination.

The pineapple is very nicely done and not a big surprise in general, just a light pineapple with a bit of citrus. Add a little bit of redcurrant and that's actually it in the opening. The fragrance stays like this for the time being, you might get a little smell-blind with time. But gradually the base notes come through. And that is precisely the point about the perfume that no one had prepared me for and why I am writing this review with an emphasis on it:

The composition of the base notes to the perfume is by far the most beautiful thing I have ever smelled in a perfume in a long time!!!

People talk about an aura that surrounds you? Check, I understand what they mean.

I think it's the blend of patchouli, musk and cedarwood that just creates such a magical atmosphere of the perfume. I was wearing a jacket with a high collar the first time I wore it, when I took it off and a wave of drydown from the back of my neck became noticeable again, I was flashed on the spot and had to marvel for a few minutes. It's so hard to describe this combination, the closest you can get to it is the Sedley in the drydown, but the Aventus takes it to the next level. A freshness from the pineapple, a clean slightly green transition to the base notes from the patchouli and the base notes themselves that give the fragrance depth, elegance, charm and uniqueness.

Yes, you probably need a more trained nose to smell this composition and also a couple more sprays (small spoiler on the performance) but it is undeniably a masterpiece.

This drydown makes the perfume worthwhile.

Performance:

You become smell-blind very quickly. This is important to anticipate. Very! Very! Quickly!

The general performance of a single full spray on the back of the hand (in my opinion one of the best test methods) is well perceptible for approx. 1-2 1/2 hours, then 2-3 hours of drydown magic near the body and then approx. 3 hours of a skin scent.

The perfume is not a powerhouse. Period!

Even after many sprays, it won't take over a room. But in my opinion, it would also take away the elegance that the perfume has. With a few sprays (perhaps in the same place for longevity) it will keep good company for some time. You will be smelled, but not across the whole room, but rather at arm's length.

All in all, a great perfume. A masterpiece. Period. No one can argue with me, at least regarding my batch ;)

If you want more power and a greener base -> Hacivat.

If you want more power but a little synthetic opening -> CDNIM

If you want more currant -> SNOI (I haven't talked about it much here, but I wanted to mention it anyway)

Once about the clones: No one will be able to smell the difference between CDNIM and Aventus. Only experienced noses and people who are explicitly told the difference. CDNIM lasts longer and carries an authentic opening of Aventus throughout the entire fragrance (approx. 10 hours). I was amazed at how good the clone actually is compared to the original. CDNIM also has the better silage.

The drydown of Aventus remains unique though, if you are really interested in perfume and wear the perfume for yourself and your own satisfaction, then you should wear Aventus and no clone will be able to replace it.

I hope you enjoyed the novel and if you have any questions just comment below the post ;)

Side Effect. First a clone and then the original (and no regrets!)
Side Effect. My first contact with the fragrance was as a clone (After Effect), but then at some point I had to get the original. And yep, that was a good decision! My girlfriend loves it and so do I!

Although it has its very own character, or perhaps precisely because of that, it is sometimes difficult to describe exactly what the fragrance does and can do.

If you look at the notes, you might think it's just a dry tobacco vanilla fragrance with a dark, sticky sweet idea of smoky rum. But far from it!
The rum is what dominates with the vanilla pretty much immediately after spraying it on for the next hour! The two notes even blend so well that you can smell a certain cherry accord. And it stays for the time being! For a long time, you first smell this sweet, dense rum-vanilla-cherry note and then this note gradually fades (approx. 2 1/2 hours) and the woody, tobacco-rubbed cinnamon notes gradually emerge. This then mixes with the last remnants of the rum note (approx. 5-6h) and the still clearly perceptible vanilla, creating a really cozy atmosphere

The fragrance thus moves from vanilla-sweet rum cherry to vanilla rum to light cinnamony sweet vanilla.

I have already let Longevity shine through the text, but it is very good! I can't give a direct general number of hours for everyone, as I usually spray very little (at least less than many others here), but even with my delicate 1-2 sprays on the neck or on the hand, it accompanies me through the day for at least 8 noticeable hours, but you can certainly still notice it on me after 10 hours. Sweaters last until the next wash (I took a jacket out of my wardrobe that had been lying there for over a month, I could smell directly which perfume had rubbed off the sleeve the last time I wore it)
Sillage is monstrous, very strong, very noticeable. If you want to be noticed, this is guaranteed to work with 3-4 sprays.

I don't really want to rate something like the bottle, but it should be noted that the whole preparation feels very valuable and special thanks to the slightly rubbery coating.

The only criticism of the perfume would be that the spray head sometimes wants to spray more and sometimes less and that the perfume actually needed the first 2-4 months to "mature".
Initially it really only smelled slightly better than my clone, with not so convincing longevity, but it has since really developed and is exactly what I wanted!

Side Effect has become a permanent part of my collection :)

If you have any questions, just write them here under the review ;)
