The collection from Moresque unfortunately isn't widely available for testing in my area, but I do occasionally find one or two bottles. I searched in vain for Contessa. However, I decided to go for a blind purchase and I don't regret it one bit.
It is a very elegant women's fragrance. Even though cherry is not listed, I perceive it, as my predecessors have also noted. Sweet and spicy at the start, it gradually becomes wonderfully floral. Those who do not like rose need not worry, it does not stand out strongly. For me, ylang-ylang and jasmine are much more prominent. The fragrance also has an incredible sillage; my husband, who has his own scent (also not exactly a subtle perfume), didn't notice it next to me at all. And he was at least as taken with this noble scent as I was.

Contessa is just one of many Moresque fragrances he has developed as the main perfumer for Moresque. I absolutely recommend it and I will definitely repurchase it again and again.

I had to think long and hard, clear NO!
This scent is out of this world.
I smelled it for the first time on a warm day, surrounded by many other scents. Roasted almonds, pizza, fries, cotton candy, smells were wafting into my nose from everywhere.
And then, suddenly, the scent of this perfume, silence, as if time stood still.
Every fiber of my being wanted to smell this scent forever.
This fine leather scent, which at first peeks around the corner with a fresh, floral lightness, gradually develops into something more intense, woodier, leatherier, and I’m talking about the finest leather that exists in this world.
Elegant, absolutely unisex and unmistakable, unique and so special.
I bought it in a flash, there was no other way, everything in me wanted THIS scent. Since then, it has become indispensable, my love for this masterpiece is too great.
I wanted to know and tested all the perfumes from Marc Antoine Barrois, no chance, no other of his scents comes close to Ganymede, not even remotely for me.

Elegant und Zeitlos

After the Shalimar millesime Iris, which I already liked immensely, I had to test you on my skin as well.
Bought blind, always keeping the wonderful "shalimar millesime Iris" in mind, I was full of confidence that you were made for me.
In joyful anticipation of your arrival, I counted the hours until you would be with me.....
The day came faster than expected, and I carefully took you out of the box; what a beautiful packaging you wear......
I sprayed you right away, I couldn’t and didn’t want to wait any longer. You enveloped my senses with a warm, sensual aura, filling the entire room; I was in love. The tonka bean (the star of the perfume), combined with vanilla and bitter almond, gives you such wonderful depth.
To me, you are a precious treasure, an exceptionally successful, elegant, and timeless fragrance composition that is indispensable in my collection. I smell you.... over and over again and perceive a little bit of the classic shalimar DNA in you, subtly, just a hint, and very pleasant.
However, you two are not comparable; you are unique.
Your bottle, however, is not just yours; that doesn’t bother me at all.
In my opinion, you deserve more than just a plastic cap; that’s the only thing I can criticize.
