This fragrance is proof to me of how much we let ourselves be influenced by brands...
Why?
I initially tested it blind:
at first, I was met with a dish soap scent, then it developed and became festive. However, the dish soap overpowered everything.
When I then found out that
Althaïr was also part of my blind tests, I had to test it again. I perceived the dish soap note once more, but when the festive scent came in, I was this time ready to excuse this disturbing factor, knowing which fragrance it was, although it still bothered me.
The whole room now smelled of this Christmas and dish soap mixture. It certainly has power.
I was somewhat shocked by how much I let myself be influenced by the fairy tale of brand, niche, price, and reputation.
In the end, reason prevails, and the question remains: shouldn't such renowned fragrances have far fewer disturbing factors, be much smoother, given the reputation they have and the money one spends on them...?
