Close, but no cigar!

Yet another unremarkable dupe for Jo Malone's Myrrh & Tonka. The same resinous, sweet, woody vibes landing on a heavy bed of tonka beans predominate here as well. I don't know, it's nice, but I prefer Jo Malone's interpretation or Dusita's Moonlight in Chiang Mai to Amber Cello any day. This is supposed to be a brand-new house that creates perfumes inspired by music, so I find it kind of disappointing that they're just imitating stuff that's already out there, but in a more mediocre way with a more pompous label.

Autumn Music

I’m taking the liberty to introduce you to this fragrance here, and as the first one to do so. When I received a sample a few months ago, I thought it could be a fantastic perfume lover's fragrance.
To my shame, I only knew the brand by sight. As far as I can remember, I hadn’t tested any of the fragrances before. The sample captivated and impressed me so much that I treated myself to a bottle. The concept of the fragrances is great. A piece of music is composed for each fragrance. You have to draw in niche fans with something. At least that’s how I would approach a niche company.

The packaging along with the bottle is beautiful. They look great in the collection. The bottle and the sprayer are top-notch!

I love the opening. It’s zesty from the bergamot, and I get a touch of lime on my skin. I could be mistaken here. Unfortunately, after 20-30 minutes, we arrive at the actual scent. Why unfortunately? I really enjoy the zesty opening together with the base. The balsamic notes mixed with myrrh and tonka bean spread out after the fresh notes are gone. This accompanies us for the next few hours. In the drydown, vanilla and benzoin join in. The scent can be described as balsamic/resinous with a certain sweetness. It is undoubtedly a fantastic perfume when it’s a bit cooler outside. A brilliant autumn fragrance, in my opinion.

It has a super quality with excellent longevity. Throughout the day, I occasionally catch a whiff of it. Shirts sprayed with it even survive the laundry. I easily enjoy it for 8 hours. The sillage is also top-notch. It never feels too overpowering, making it great to wear in the office. If you’re looking for a great niche product, I can wholeheartedly recommend the brand. Ambre Cello will likely not be my last fragrance from this brand.

Surprisingly Different

I was very curious about the scent due to the reviews here. A sample arrived. The fragrance developed on my skin surprisingly differently than expected. Refreshing bergamot, sweet myrrh, tonka, and vanilla did not come through. After a short balsamic start, a strong, masculine incense note took over, overpowering all the other ingredients and lasting for hours, almost excessively. Unfortunately, not for me.

the Confident.

The Confident Cello..This beautiful fragrance has caught my attention. It is a resinous, slightly sweet, semi-gourmand amber scent. Beautiful! Very good quality. In my opinion, the brand only has special fragrances. The tonka bean stands out prominently. A sweet vanilla. You can really smell the bergamot at the beginning. Nice refreshing citrus bursts.

Amber-Colored Evening Sun

For me, a beautiful myrrh-amber scent, whose warmth forms such a lovely contrast to the fresh bergamot. I fell in love with the fragrance immediately. It feels classic, it wants nothing more than to be an amber scent, trying to attract attention through nothing loud or special, but it exudes a calm elegance.
Although perhaps counterintuitive for many, I enjoyed wearing it in the evenings while on vacation. This amber warmth fits so well with the evening sun, which still warms and glows amber-colored, but also carries the seriousness and darkness of the evening/night within it.
