Why, Lancôme?
I have to say that I only really like a few fragrances so much that I want to wear them myself.
One of them was Jasmin's Marzipan.

Fortunately, I had already been warned that the name was misleading and that I shouldn't expect a gourmand scent.
In fact, the fragrance starts with a small jasmine bomb and then becomes increasingly cozy, soft and beautiful. The jasmine recedes, combines with woods and something almondy emerges (no marzipan, though).
When I wear it, I feel feminine and well-groomed.

At first, I wondered whether it was worth the proud price of around €260/100 ml. It is beautiful, but is it special enough? It could also be the scent of a fine body lotion. I wore it for two/three days and then it was clear that I had to buy it. And quickly. Rumors that Lancôme was going to discontinue the entire Maison Lancôme range had been circulating for some time and the fragrance could only be found online on one website. Luckily, I was still able to get hold of it (several backup bottles followed).
And indeed, a few days later, the fragrance was also out of stock on the aforementioned website.

I read here in the forum that there is a rumor going around among Lancôme employees that the range will be replaced by a new one in 2024. And I have to say that I would be very happy about new Maison Lancôme fragrances, but please in addition to the current ones and not instead!

Why, Lancôme? Why are you discontinuing this wonderful fragrance?
