Eau Sauvage-Tuscany per Uomo-Hybrid
I was browsing at NKD (= KIK on a slightly higher level) and saw that several bottles of perfume were offered along with testers.
All the bottles looked quite “inexpensive,” but the name “California Dream for men” sounded catchy to me, so after a quick check of the bottle, I sprayed two puffs on my hand.
A very fresh, spicy, herbal scent pleasantly wafts into my nose.
My first thought was: “This is how I would imagine a flanker of ‘Eau Sauvage Extreme’ to interpret the theme skillfully.
A classic men's cologne in style, but more of an EDT in terms of scent intensity.
You can definitely smell it and don’t feel the need to reapply in 10 minutes.
Ultimately, I believe we have a successful blend of Eau Sauvage by Dior and Tuscany per Uomo by Aramis here.
Great for the price.
The top and heart notes are very similar and I like them a lot.
The base note is a bit diffuse-spicy-sweet and, to be honest, not really successful, but you have a lot of fun beforehand.
In relation to the two mentioned fragrances, California Dream for men smells denser and spicier than Eau Sauvage, but not as compact and spicy-woody as Tuscany per Uomo.
Clearly a spring/summer scent for gentlemen over 35 who do not want to invest a fortune in a fragrance.

P.S.: I would have loved to describe California Dream for women here as well, but the overly strict Parfumo Research does not accept my fragrance submission, probably because there is hardly any information available online about the scent.
What a shame, because you are missing out on a Shalimar-like scent that I personally find very delicious...

In Heaven, There's Cinnamon...
Cinnamon, that was his last word,
then the little angels carried him away...

These adapted lines from the old street ballad fit very well, because the cinnamon simply smells heavenly!
Cinnamon, cinnamon, and more cinnamon.
I personally love it. No half measures.
Not just cinnamon-scented, but it smells like cinnamon.

Soon it will be supported by a fine sweetness (amber?)
Warm and cozy, the scent comes across now, but definitely wintry, almost Christmas-like.
I can't imagine this in spring/summer.

It develops further. The woods come in, and it is now sweeter, spicier cinnamon.
I can even detect a slight pepper note. In any case, it tickles a bit in the nose when you smell directly on the skin.
I like that, because it creates less of the impression that you’ve dusted your body with pure (spice) cinnamon.
(Huh? Why would anyone do that?)
By the way, at this stage, it reminds me of the wonderful Romeo Gigli per Uomo.
That one was also full of spicy cinnamon on me.
And that great bottle back then.
Ah, nostalgia...

Scent intensity is moderate, never intrusive.
Longevity is about 3 hours.
Not a big deal - just reapply. It costs almost nothing.

Great scent for little money, in any case, but I emphasize it again: you get an almost pure cinnamon scent.

If you like that => go get it!
If not => beware!!!

TUCA TUCA - This Unique Candy's Awesome
How does it smell?
=> A good mix of “A Fleur de Peau” and “Black or Velvet Orchid.” Concentrated dark candy with fruity elements.

How long does it last?
=> lasts like a sticky candy (in standard German)
=> definitely a case of LTR (long term relationship)

What is the scent intensity?
=> people at the other end of the football field will definitely notice it too.

When do you wear it?
=> clear statement fragrance. Hello, here I am! Did EVERYONE notice? Not suitable for wallflower phases.

How do I like it?
=> very much. Maybe not quite optimal for a 34-degree early summer Friday, as it is a real olfactory heavyweight, but definitely something completely different. Fruity-sweet-powdery-smoky. A little more on the feminine side due to the constant fruitiness, but the dark-smoky elements make it quite wearable for progressive Y chromosome carriers...

Have a lovely sunny Tuca Tuca weekend, everyone!

Adult Baby Powder
Powdery.
But so talc powdery.
So to speak, adult baby powder.
And sweet, very much so.
A bit vanilla, but not like Eau Duelle, rather (roughly) Un bois vanille.
So sweet vanilla.
Very unisex.
Just the right thing if a man feels uncomfortable with "women's fragrances" or unisex scents, but still wants to be enveloped in a cloud of powder.
Not for me, I was recently with Sweet Oriental Dream at Rossmann.
They have to deal with it...
Soffio di Talco is practically Soavissima minus the headache and nausea.
(Sorry Profumum Roma lovers)
Room-filling sillage.
Caution in the office.
Unless you want to get back at scent-sensitive bullies...
Hehe...
Excellent longevity.
I read that patchouli is included.
If patchouli is processed like this, I could easily become a fan.
There’s nothing earthy, chocolatey, or musty about it.
I really like the scent.
But you have to really be in the mood for it.
It’s not an everyday scent.
By the way, very one-dimensional.
It smells the same from second one to the end.
I don’t find that too bad.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember the green Pino Silvestre anymore.
But I know I liked it back then.
I like this one too.
Sometimes.
:-)

Come back and stay for good this time
I'll express it with Paul Young's words in his hit "Come back and stay":

Since you've been gone
I shut my eyes
And I fantasize
That you're here with me

Will you ever return?
I won't be satisfied
Till you're by my side
Don't wait any longer...

Why don't you come back?
Please hurry, why don't you come back?
Please hurry...
Come back and stay for good this time
Come back and stay for good this time
_

This top note...
Gourmand Heaven!
Very one-dimensional, but ultra-yummy.
A lot of roasted (hazel) nuts, a bit of Nutella, a lot of hazelnut ice cream, Ferrero Rocher...
All these aromas can be found in this top note.
They spin my head, but in a beautiful way...

But they seem to fade away...
Why?
You can't just start like this and then disappear and leave me!
"We are ethereal and modest," they seem to whisper to me from afar.
"We didn't come to stay in the foreground, we are the entrance of vanilla"

And indeed, vanilla spreads out...
An amazingly authentic, straightforward "I'm-cutting-the-pod-lengthwise-vanilla," flanked by the aromas mentioned above, which cannot assert themselves.
Together they create a dark, very wintry, slightly smoky vanilla note.

Very tasty, but my heart is losing interest a bit...
The top note was too beautiful and perfect.
Like something out of my imagination, 1:1

A cuddly-wuddly winter perfume that is of course not refined at all, as it is too simply structured.
But for now, a wonderful caresser for the senses.

And this toooop note... sorry, I'm repeating myself.

The scent intensity is in the medium range, really nothing is booming here, and the longevity is excellent at about 6 hours, in my opinion.

I like L'Erbolario. They have already brought me much joy with Dolcelisir, Meharees, and Mandorla.
Now also with all'Olio di Argan.

Grazie!
