Skinny & Nude
This is not a fragrance for a grand entrance. Nor is it for an exciting olfactory journey through all scent dimensions. It is not opulent, complex, intrusive, annoying, or disturbing. Rather, it is one of the exceedingly rare precious scents that truly embrace the wearer, merging with the skin.

A wonderful musk fragrance that radiates warmth, cleanliness, and creamy freshness. And one of the even rarer musk scents that lacks any synthetic and animalistic undertones. So don't be deterred by the aldehydes in the top notes.

What a surprise that this particular musk fragrance lives up to its name so well. Le Musc & La Peau...... the musk and the skin..... the name says it all. A gem for anyone looking for an uncomplicated everyday scent. The longevity is a solid 7 hours, and the sillage is quite noticeable to those around you. A warm, cozy, creamy feel-good scent. Highly recommended!

Hall of Coconut
No comment and not even a statement about a fragrance that is currently rated 7.8??

I'll keep it short.... this is one of the few UNSWEETENED coconut scents. Not to be compared with the very sweet "Caribbean Coconut," for example, which unfortunately made me feel nauseous. And you won't find any vanilla here either.

The name is not representative, but totally misleading. Whatever the title refers to, it only serves to support the consistently subtly present coconut, perhaps there's also some walnut in there. With a bit of imagination, I can accept musk and iris as well as teak wood, but the nose cannot find anything floral.

The scent itself is really very nutty, slightly powdery, close to the body, very woody, unsweetened, and resembles "Lumiere blanche" the most, but without that oily note; "Virgin Island Water" is significantly sweeter and stickier. It never becomes musty or dusty (thankfully), the longevity is around 7-8 hours, and the sillage is moderate.

It would probably be excellent for layering, but since I don't layer myself, please put this statement in context.

A slight scent memory of the earlier smell of sunbather brigades, who headed towards the beach with nut oil-prepared skin, cannot be denied. However, it is not a creamy scent, and I can't find any association with sunscreen either.

Actually, it is a very nice scent, just a bit difficult for me to describe due to coconut traumas. However, since there are so many inquiries about coconut scents, this fragrance definitely deserves a place in the Hall of Coconut despite its affordable price! And wood fans should not miss out on testing this scent, as nutty and woody is quite an interesting combination.

By the way, the scent is unisex, and I am happy to provide 10 samples for those interested in this fragrance direction.

Whoever has the whale, has the torment
So then... this is a fragrance from the Patagonia series, supposedly inspired by the image of a whale amidst a sea of swaying grass... really beautifully eccentric and atmospheric :D

From a marketing perspective, it's more than inconspicuous, as it is not associated with direct erotic signals. Well, even something as mundane as butter can be sold better when a naked woman spreads it seductively on bread. Marketing-wise, it's not a home run; I personally had never heard of the brand Fueguia 1833 before, but that's not a measure for me, as I'm not particularly interested in brands.

So what does one do with a fragrance that one finds absolutely magnificent, but which has yet to excite the local perfume enthusiasts? Right, one writes a comment... now it's time for the lovingly called "whale goo."

Although the question for an extraordinary fragrance is often asked and many here do not want to smell like the usual 0815, the whale has so far swum rather unsuccessfully through its sea of swaying grass. Yet the fragrance is not only extraordinary but also very wearable, which cannot always be said for unusual niche fragrances.

The start begins directly with a fresh, warm, aromatic, and extremely green note... greener than green, so to speak. Loriot, alias Mr. Blömann, would say, not just any green, no, such a green green-brown-green with a bit of light green, slightly shifting to dark green-yellow. Or something like that. With golden speckles in it.

I have smelled many green fragrances; they were all rather cool. This one is a very warm green fragrance, incredibly aromatic, a bit fermenty. The same scent that arises when you mix a meadow of many herbs and flowers with ryegrass, mow it, and let it dry in the full sun. The process releases a lot of warmth and many aromas. And that's exactly where you can wonderfully immerse yourself and inhale the stuff (as long as you don't have hay fever).

The fragrance remains linear and aromatic green for about 5-6 hours. Towards the end, a warm, slightly unsweet note takes the aroma with it, and then the fragrance bids farewell. That is also the downside of the fragrance for this price. The extremely low longevity on the skin. More than 6 hours, at least, it did not manage here.

Then I sprayed the fragrance on clothing. And there is a completely different result. With just one spray, the entire garment smells so intensely of the aroma that it easily fills a 15 sqm room with the scent. When wearing the garment and staying in a room, it continues to smell noticeably for a long time after leaving. On the garment itself (sleeve), the fragrance was easily perceivable for over 10 days.

Whether it is the whale that shows its ambratic face at the end and preserves the aroma of the fragrance on clothing so lastingly, I do not know.
Amber in the form that is often sweet, e.g., in Ambre Sublime, etc., is certainly not present for my nose. The fragrance is unisex; I can imagine it being a bit better on a man, but I also like to wear it as a woman sometimes.

So, if you really want to smell something different than church benches with incense, leather whips, floral scents, clean soaps, vanilla cakes, oud roses, and the like, you can engage with the aroma of an entire hayfield.

Brave ones ahead! :)

Black and White
Beautiful concept, black scent on white skin... well, the scent itself is not black at all, but rather reveals a really beautifully psychedelic violet, leaving just the name. However, there is nothing black about it; it could easily have been called White, as it is so beautifully clean.

The pyramid actually suggests a very fruity opening, one expects a fruit bomb, but far from it, the scent starts directly with a slightly powdery, beautifully cozy clean note, gently accompanied by fruits and a subtle almond note. I would have expected more synthetics from Revlon in reference to Charlie Red or Charlie White, but there is no really piercing note here; instead, the scent continues to evolve into a cozy fragrance without tipping into an extreme. I am quite surprised at how soft the scent remains, with a slight sweetness and (unfortunately for me) also powderiness; I unfortunately do not like powdery scents, even if they are very beautifully composed, like here.

All in all, this is an underrated, well-balanced clean scent, silky, slightly powdery, fortunately not soapy, and with a dry and slightly vanillic sweetness, which is well controlled by amber and coumarin (if one is to believe the pyramid). The longevity is also really impressive at 6-8 hours. I rate the sillage at 70%, so socially acceptable :D

Anyone looking for a rather elegant, beautifully soft everyday scent that fades into a warm, light vanilla-amber base in the evening could certainly try Charlie Black. For me, the most beautiful representative of the Charlie series. Priced affordably, but never cheap. Unfortunately, I personally do not like light powder, so the scent must move on from here at least.

I wouldn't necessarily send Blackie into the winter months, but for the rest of the year, one could certainly have fun with Blackie ;)

My Lady is treating us to a round...
My Lady was one of those gems that had to wait a long time for her debut. Parked in a box with samples, which were indeed quite interesting, but not with that hundred percent certainty that would lead to an immediate buying frenzy. In great company next to, for example, Pulp, which seduced me time and again for a secret sniff, but admittedly is quite ambivalent.

With My Lady, it’s similarly ambivalent, as it starts off with a zesty bubblegum note... really great bubblegum... sparkling, refreshing, and fruity, simply beautifully delightful... but do I want to smell like this? Like bubblegum?

Yes, I do! This is a feel-good scent that, while it has a youthful bubblegum note, is softened by light green tones, thus NOT turning into a teenage fragrance. The fruity beautiful note remains gently intact, and the good mood does too, making it a wonderful spring and summer scent, and even wearable all year round. The bottle, well... the sillage is quite pronounced at 70%, but not too overpowering, and the longevity is impeccable at 8 hours.

I must compliment My Lady for the balancing act between fresh-sweet and slightly bitter, which is handled here with playful ease. Extremely pleasant as a contrast to all the sweet bombs, without swinging to the other green extreme... Compliments to MFK, although no MFK has ever convinced me before, this one certainly does!

And now a round of bubblegum for everyone :D
