High quality BR540 dupe

Tinharé by Le Couvent is very similar with the famous luxury perfume Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Le Couvent is a French perfume house directed by Jean Claude Ellena, one of the greatest perfumers. The bottle is elegant, the quality high and the price quality ratio very appealing. An unexpected aid for keeping social distance

I find Tinhare really close to Baccarat Rouge 540 so if you are looking for a price friendly option this can work for you. I don't have complaints over its longevity at all, in fact it lasts all day on clothes. Yesterday night my life companion who really dislikes this one was complaining about it before my night shower after a long day wear. I enjoy it and find it quite smoothing and easy but he hates it deeply. I haven't had such a bad reaction from a perfume from him ever before, he said it smelled of a mixture of hell and trash. So I guess this one and its siblings can be very polarizing.

Tinhare is a dusty sweet woody perfume with a bit of fruity sweetness and a vanishing vanilla. Not a floral composition in my opinion. I see the band aid references, not in a bad way. Definitely not a natural smell perfume.

As I said, it can be difficult to bear for others, so not such a safe choice as it could seem. I guess I would pick this one as an aid for keeping social distance ;)

Lovely.

Extremely close to Red temptation from Zara.
Burberry Her and Ariana Grande Cloud has something similar but they are really there own scents, her being prominent on strawberry and cloud being more creamy coconut and lavender.
I really like this kind of scent profile, sweet, earthy and woody.
Can't say anything about the resemblance with BR540.

A better BR540

A dupe of Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum but for once, I find the copy better than the original.

Why? Well, quite simply because Tinharé is less sweet and the presence of mandarin brings a little freshness to the whole thing. It's still very sweet, of course, but for some reason I find the smell more pleasant here than in BR540.

Furthermore, the price is much more affordable and the bottle much prettier...

To test before buying because I read here and there that some people don't like the bitterness of mandarin.

Marshmallows under the Leather Saddle

I confess, I can't pass by a perfumery in a nearby town. Not a big chain, but a small shop with great staff and scents that you don't find on every corner.
On one of these excursions, an employee led me to the shelf with Le Couvent. Well, the bottles do look quite nice with their apothecary charm, but for some reason, I was initially hesitant. OK, you don't want to be rude, so I did a bit of sniffing around. And then I had Tinharé in my hands!
This is, oh, ah, whoa... yes, indeed, I can smell marshmallows. Sweet, creamy, soft. But not the marshmallows that are neatly displayed in a small delicatessen shop, no, these have been thoroughly flattened under an old leather saddle!
This strange combination wraps you up in a cozy warmth and softness, you want to cuddle with yourself in a fluffy blanket while a music box plays in the background! However, it's not childishly lost, but stable and calm within itself. There's nothing scratchy or jagged, and yet it's not a typically pleasing scent; you really have to enjoy the contradiction within it.
And that was the moment when I was initially overwhelmed in terms of classification. Sweet scents are really not my thing. No! Never! And yet, I can't shake off this bitter, woody note that carries the sweetness and makes it bearable. Cute turns into reliable and strong at the base.
So in the end, you give up the resistance and let yourself be embraced. Willingly and again and again.

The longevity and sillage are above average for me; with one spray (I swear!) in the morning, I was asked in the afternoon what wonderful scent I was wearing.
Speaking of wearing: for me, this is definitely a scent for cold and/or uncomfortable days. In bright sunshine, this scent does not work in my opinion; it needs a certain melancholy.
